All the bells and whistles at a ridiculously law price. I bought 5 of these. And here’s why …
For the price, I was skeptical. I bought one, initially, to test it out. My assumption was that I will return it within Amazon’s return window. Boy, was I wrong!At 3MP (2560×1440, 30fps) resolution it passed the video quality check for my purposes. Both day and night footage were good enough for the details I wanted to capture. YMMV.Then the “Canny Cam” app was very intuitive and straight forward. No glamorous icons, complex navigation paths, obscure menus, etc. Very simple, straight to the point, practical user interface. A+Then the camera features, all of which are functional through the App …Life view features:Real time life view – checkLife view 2-way push-to-talk Audio – check (low volume at highest setting but it works. PTT means one party talks at a time)Life view initiate recording immediately – checkLife view take instant photo – checkLife view – zoom in/out (digital zoom, grainy, not optimal but it is there) – checkLife view activate Siren – checkAlerts (to owner/intruders):Strobe/Flash Light (referred to as “Night Vision White Light”) – disable, always on at dark places/after sunset, on only on detection events (motion/sound) after sunset/in dark places – checkActivate siren on events (sound, motion detection) – checkSend detection events immediately to phone through push notifications – checkRecording:Record continuously – checkRecord on motion – check (set motion sensitivity level and type: humanoid, objects, light changes etc)Record on sound (glass breaking/door banging. The camera has standard USB-A cable, input is 5v/1A (comes with a wall charger). Instead of plugging it to the wall charger I plugged it to a portable power battery bank, took it to a field and was able to monitor it for as long the battery lasted (approximately 10 hours). Very useful when you are off the grid, have no close power outlet, bird watching, wild life observation, parking lot monitoring, etc.But here’s the kicker that really blew my mind and had me buy 4 more.In-app Chat/Support (also sent to your registered email) – the people behind this product were very responsive and courteous. They responded within few hours, even though they say they will respond within 1-2 business.When I drew their attention to a non-significant (IMO), non functionality-affecting, app glitch where events were saved locally to a date that’s off from the actual date it is recorded (the on-screen display showed the correct date and time stamp, as well as the footage file meta-data), they investigated and determined that it will be fixed in the next app release (update: Now fixed).They went above and beyond my expectation for a product at this price point. I reckon buying brand name items that are orders of magnitude more expensive only to receive the “we don’t appreciate your business” attitude from their after-sales customer service.I really can’t recommend this camera enough. My only concern right now is longevity. But heck, even if this camera dies after one year, it would have paid for its price multiple times. Not to bash other brands, but these cameras are replacing an expensive (relatively speaking), subscription-based, camera system that I used to have and am fed up with their support and monthly fees.Hope this helps someone still making up their mindUpdate: Buy (or have) properly working microSD cards. There are online sites that sell these dirt cheap. Notably one that starts with SH, another with T, and finally our old friends at eB. JUST DON’T DO IT. Don’t buy microSD cards from these sites. I had all sorts of problem with cheap cards bought there. On a computer they showed all sorts of glitches (not holding on to data, requiring to be formatted every time you “safely” ejected and then re-inserted them, etc.) On a Camera system other factors are in play (WiFi, network latency, etc.) and it is considered a “mission critical application”. Speed and quality matter significantly in this scenario. Fork the money and buy cards from reputable retailers (off-line is better), with a solid return policy. My 2 cents.Installation tips: the hanging hardware kit that comes with it is flimsy, to describe it politely. Don’t use power tools with it. You’ll break it. If you’re not handy, get someone to put it up for you. If you are a DYI, pre drill your mounting holes and use a hand screw driver. I stripped 2 screws with a power drill and I’m very experienced.To the people behind this product: 1) keep it up you’re doing a good job 2) don’t raise prices 3) ship better quality hanging hardware and add hanging instructions to the manual 4) consider shipping with compatible micro SD cards to avoid customer issues blaming their cheap, low quality, SD cards not working properly on your great little camera

Worth the Buy!
Dont let the low price fool you, cause this is a great little camera. It was super easy to set up and was recording crystal clear with really good audio within a few minutes. And the Motion detection is on point! I like all it’s features. Especially how my other cameras auto linked to the app and now I can watch my whole home from one place. It was worth the money!

Love the security camera . Living alone it gives makes me feel more safe. Work amazing for the price. You must get this ! It comes with night vision, sound to listen and to be able to communicate back . It comes with a built in alarm
