Excellent Surround Sound System
This sound system is amazing. The saying you get what you pay for is very true. I have always bought Sony products and have been happy with them. This is no exception, the bluetooth connects perfect and is in sync with the voices on the projector screen. The sound quality is like your really in a movie theater. I was a little worried about having the sound bar instead of actual speakers but the sound bar works great. Set up is super easy as well, basically a plug and play and easy to use app. I will be sticking with Sony products they never have disappointed.

plug & play wireless surround
looks good, sounds good with voice, music, and movies. very well packaged and super easy setup, plug & play. works well in larger space with high ceilings. bluetooth wireless is flawless 10m from the sub. app allows for selecting sound format and tuning front. back, and sub volumes. integrates perfectly with a 12 year old TV.

Hearing Impaired… Totally Impressed
Upgraded my living room Bravia TV recently, so wanted to upgrade from the Vizio 2.1 system I was using. This system was a great choice. I’m a bit hard of hearing, so the Voice feature improved vocals… loud and clear. The Sound Field feature is well balanced and capable of shaking the rafters. Only downside is having the subwoofer tethered directly to the soundbar. Would prefer it being Wireless and placing it further away from the TV, but that’s a small inconvenience. Otherwise, the system was a breeze to install and works perfectly… highly recommend!

Positves and Negatives
Watching TV is where this soundbar really shines. Voices are clear and understandable, probably due to the center channel speaker. That feature also makes music playback heavy in the vocals and midrange which sounds somewhat unbalanced. The music playback also lacks presence but I have to remember this is just a soundbar. I’ve had mid price point Samsung soundbars and wasn’t happy with the Bass, this Bass is good and at higher volumes can get loud. If you like a lot of Bass you won’t be disappointed. The setup with my Sony TV was easy and the app works well. I do have a problem playing MP3 files on my Windows 11 laptop although my Windows 10 laptop plays those files fine. I called support and they recommended I wait for an update as this is a new product, not really a good response. If you want really good sound it appears you would have to spend $1000 or more. For the money, I think this one is on par or slightly above others in this price range.Update – I have moved the sub next to the soundbar from the side of the room. This has improved the sound quality, a little less bass but improved the midrange balance. Forgot to mention, this integrates very well with my Sony TV and setup was easy. I would buy it again.

Great Sound Quality and ability to hear Voices with easy connectivity
Great overall product..brings easy, very high quality, sound to television where you don’t have a fully-wired surround sound system. Another great feature is the Voice mode which further enhances voice separation in an era where TV speaks mash all of the sound channels together and you are always trying to understand what the heck people are saying! Great app support for fine tuning with night mode and excellent wireless connectivity make this an excellent sound solution for today’s emaciated television speakers.

Soundbar Uses a Short, Proprietary Cable to Connect to Subwoofer to get Power
While the audio quality may be good, you should be aware of an extremely limiting factor: The sound bar must be hardwired into the subwoofer to get power. There is no AC power option for the soundbar, it uses a proprietary cable to connect with the subwoofer. This cable is too short for my setup, and thus I have to return it. Quite frustrating, there should be an AC power option for the soundbar!

Sony Products are the best
I have a Sony Bravia 50″ 4k TV. I had a Yamaha 4k 5.1-Channel Home Theater system connected as I was totally against sound bars. When streaming movies on various apps, I would have to turn the volume above 40. I replaced the Yamaha with this. I found this “Sound Bar System” and figured I’d give it a whirl. I’ve had this connected for about 2 weeks I think. So far so good. I can listen to the TV with the volume at a regular level. I’m glad I wasn’t having hearing impairment issues, which I thought could be the case due to age or unknown injury. Having to use an app on my phone to set it up was a bit “strange” to say the least. I know it’s hard to believe but not everyone has a smartphone. Using the app to adjust the sound would be good if I had a different brand of TV. I like that it also has it’s own remote. It was relatively easy to setup one. I also didn’t have to sync it with my TV or anything else because all connected products are Sony so I think the sync was automatic. I can use the TV remote without having to manually sync the soundbar system. So far, I would definitely recommend this product. I will revisit this in a few months to see if I encounter any of the issues in the 1 star ratings.
