Ultra Fast Drive w/ a Nice Price Point
This drive is one of the fastest on the market at 11,000 MB/s transfer. With a price point that is respectable for the size and performance you get from a reputable brand.Highly recommend, I’ve since bought several of these to upgrade other laptops and desktops giving these systems a measurable performance boost!

Great Improvement over the Samsung 990 Pro
I purchased this Crucial NVMe drive to replace a Samsung Pro that seems to have an issue with one of Windows 11 updates. Although I updated the firmware, it still would go south from time to time. However, purchasing this Crucial P510, I find that it performs better than the Samsung 990 Pro ever did before the update. I liked it so much, I purchased a second one for my wife’s PC.

    Great for Linux or Windows
Used many different types of drives over the years (since 1990) there were only two that ever quit a Western Digital Green & a Samsung SSD 3.5 I’ve used Crucial drives for many PC builds over the years & all of them are still going strong. The P510 does not disappoint it’s super quick and doesn’t make a ton of heat which are highly desirable aspects when building a new rig or just upgrading your old one plus it’s backwards compatible which makes it a great choice.

    Easy to upgrade older SSD
Item is a P510 1 TB NVMe M.2 SSD. I needed to replace the OS drive in an older Dell 5880 desktop. It was only a 256 GB SSD with the smaller form factor. I use a Synology server to back up the OS and system drive. I simply plugged the new drive into the slot after changing the hold-down screw to the longer position. I fired up the restore USB drive, logged into the backup image and restored. It took about 25 minutes to do a bare metal restore to the new drive. I removed the USB and rebooted and after the PC started up there were no error messages. I signed in and tested the drives and connectivity and all was well. As far as the PC knows nothing changed. The drive has performed as expected for the last hour or so with no issues. My plan is to create a separate partition and install Linux in a dual boot configuration. Since all of my data is stored on a separate drive and location I can go back and forth as needed. I do not plan to upgrade to Win 11.This large 1 TB OS drive fits my needs and will hopefully last as long as the PC does. I don’t ask this desktop to do anything different then when it was first purchased in 2020. I researched lot of M.2 NVMe drives before purchasing this one. It is a Gen 5 drive but runs in my PC as Gen 3 so it is backwards compatible. The cost vs speed and storage price point is what lead me to this drive along with a 5 year warranty and TBW of 600TB. I feel that this one is best bang for the bucks along with it being new and just released.Crucial does allow you to download a version of Acronis Disk Image if you register the drive first if you don’t have any other means to clone or recover a backup. Just follow the instructions in the enclosed paperwork for your language.

    Cool
Works way better than my Gen 3 NVMEs I was still rocking.. Temps are cool under load, about 55°C tops when gaming (observed with S.M.A.R.T software), using the OEM heatsink on an ASUS B650E Max Gaming motherboard

    Great value
Great speeds, very cool temps with my motherboard’s heatsink so no included heatsink was a plus for me.

2TB in the title. There is a 1TB that has 2TB in the description so you might have to waste time sending it back.
