All the function keys and headphone monitoring on the mic, such as the multifunctional knob, are only available via USB, but non-functional via XLR. You can control the mic through an audio interface or mixer via XLR (XLR cable is not included).

I wanted to wait a little bit after the purchase to comment on the product so here I am! I bought this because I was borrowing a mic from my husband from the same brand. Both of them are great. It was easy to set this one up and I am told that my voice is CRISP coming through the mic. Also love that I can change the RGB easily on the mic and arm, adjustment is smooth, and the tap mute feature has been a life saver so far. One of these days, I plan to get a XLR so I’m super hyped that I have a port on this mic for that eventuality! I have nothing bad to say about this product and no, I’m not sponsored or paid for this review! The value is good for the quality I’m getting considering I sound better through this mic than I do through my $100 headset. So if you’re on the fence about this one, I recommend it. It’s way better than dealing with a mic sitting on a tripod, in my opinion. That’s what I was using before and I was constantly bumping into it and making it fall. Lol Hope this helps somebody!

If you’re looking for a streaming or gaming mic, this is a really solid option!! I’ve had the AM8 for a while so I decided to do a comparison between both the AM8 and the new AM8 ProT. The ProT is also available with the Genie software which allows managing RGB lighting, adjusting audio with EQ and voice effects, and mixing audio tracks

Shockingly Good Budget USB/XLR Mic
I picked up the FIFINE AmpliGame AM8 PRO(T) (boom-arm bundle) and it’s been a legit upgrade for my desk setup. Out of the box, it took me under five minutes to get sound on both USB-C and XLR. The on-mic touch-mute, gain knob, and zero-latency headphone jack make everyday use super simple, and the RGB accent looks great on camera without being overbearing.For creators, gamers, and podcasters who want USB today and XLR tomorrow, the AM8 PRO(T) is an absolute value play. It looks good, sounds better, and the bundle makes it a one-box solution. Highly recommended.

Super versatile and great for set-ups without an external audio interface!
The audio quality out of the XLR output is great, going through my UA Volt 276! It’s comparable to other mics in this price range. Can also confirm it’s great via USB output. The big plus is definitely with the USB connection, though. Being able to control your monitor level, desktop audio output level, AND the overall mix of the two from the mic is amazing! It makes it easier to stream without a dedicated audio interface or mixer if you don’t have one, and amazing for mobile setups where you can’t or don’t want to lug around an audio interface. The RGB lighting on the mic and stand are a HUGE PLUS 🙂
