Nostalgia Ruined by Awful Performance
If you’re thinking about buying the G350 Retro Handheld Game Console, do yourself a favor and don’t.Sure, the price looks great and the size hits that nostalgic Game Boy vibe… but that’s where the good news ends.The battery life is a joke. I’m not talking “a little shorter than expected”—I mean minutes. You barely get the system booted before it taps out. With a battery that pathetic, the giant game library might as well be imaginary, because you won’t have enough power to actually play anything long enough to enjoy it.Speaking of the library, navigating it is clunky and frustrating. You’ll spend more time scrolling through messy menus than actually gaming—and again, the battery will probably die halfway through the struggle anyway.And the cherry on top? The one game they hype up—the one I actually cared about, any of the Pokémon titles—wasn’t even on the device. Not missing, not hidden. Just flat-out not there.Bottom line: this console is a disappointment from start to finish. Save your money and your patience.

Pretty much perfect
I’d love to give this a 5/5 but the stock operating system is garbage. It was so bad that the thing stopped booting.However, ArkOS runs like a dream on this thing. Just make sure to back up your games (which there’s a ton of) and then drop them back into the appropriate folders.The hardware is really really sturdy on this thing. The buttons feel great and the screen is great. Battery life is surprisingly excellent too.I’m new to the retro scene but I love this thing a ton.

So worth it
The g350 handheld console is definitely worth the price. It has a huge variety of emulators that are able to run with no problem. Super easy to download your own games onto the sd card as long as you have an sd card reader the folders are already sorted you just drag and drop the file into the labeled folders. I really love using this for psp games so far all the ones i’ve downloaded into it run perfectly and feel smooth. Really portable and good quality build. I am happy with purchase.

Solid Hardware and Software
Better than as advertised, as you are able to put a ‘blank’ sd card in the second slot, the software will flash it with basically a clone of the first slot, leaving the files you had on it in place, and you are free to drag and drop new roms onto your sd card and it’ll boot into that one when plugged in. As quick and painless as it could possibly be in terms of delivering the content i desired. However the instructions left something to be desired, ha but that comes with the territory of such a complex offering

Quality device but may require some work
Wouldn’t boot out of the box so I can’t comment on the stock OS or game collection that comes on it. Googling pointed me toward a custom firmware, p4elec, and I did that for this device after which it came right on. It’s a nice software and there is a youtube video that does a good job of making the steps to get it going understandable, search “Batlexp G350 Pan4ELEC Setup”. But you’ll also need to copy back over the games and bios either from the stock SD card or from your own source, also referenced in the video. As for the hardware, the display is just fine though the colors are a bit washed out. The sticks are better than I expected. The d-pad is a little different than what I’m used to but I like it. The face buttons do seem to have a touch of latency but I’ve only been playing this for a little while today, day one, and I’m not adjusted to it so it could end up like the d pad and be different but good. Hand feel is good for me – average size man hands. Performance is good. I started out with Crash Bandicoot on PS1 and Super Mario Land on GB and both ran perfectly.

Best in class for price with a 3326 SOC.
This vertical handheld has a 3326 SOC, so it can play past PS1/SNES depending on the game. I tested it with some lower end PSP, N64, and DC. Where you get it will determine what games it comes with, if any, but you should always use games you already own, and if you have backed them up yourself — even better.What’s stunning on this unit is not the SOC, or the screen (excellent in the class), but instead for the remarkable build quality. This feels more expensive than it is because it feels like it comes from the same factory as value priced anbernic handhelds that cost more.First, the pink colorway looks vibrant, and the controls have excellent finish. Next, the sticks are not cheap junk, and feel and perform well. The D-Pad and buttons are great, and the back buttons a joy to use with the curve and positive action.The software that comes with it is good, but I suggest Pan4Elec as a better alternative. I suspect more will come because this is vastly superior to the R36S which is slightly cheaper but not quite as nice (I have both).BattleXP G350 was a pleasant surprise, and immediately became my go-to for gifting. 5/5 stars!
