My initial install required the 24v AC adapter C wire however..
..after pulling the wire harness out from the HVAC there was a hidden 5th blue wire in the cable, it turns out a constant power source. Adapter not needed.As I’m typing the Nest is working fine, Display lights up as you walk by which mean the remote power supply, blue wire, is working. Here in July A/C is now cycling on/off more frequently though. I can attest that the on/off cycle has to do with the threshold temp being , cycling the A/C more often, half a degree verses 1.It’s going to take at least a year or more to formulate an analysis of savings.Edited to add: I’m able to program the Nest to save energy during my utilities Monday thru Friday “Super Peak” period. Our rates per kilowatt hour are: .0934 cents 9PM-9AM, .1622 cents 9AM-4PM, Super Peak 4PM-7PM .4057 cents. I have added a custom setting to cool down an extra degree from 3-4PM before sleep mode 4-7PM. This will enable the temperature to climb only a few degrees during the 4-7PM period.

Purchased this for my google nest. This wall plate covered the ugly wall behind the old thermostat. Looks really nice and was really easy to install. Took me 5 minutes to install.

This product looks great and works as advertised. The delivery by ASL was poorly performed. They are always late. If I knew they were the delivery company before I bought I would have canceled!
