Webcams released today each have their own pros and cons.This webcam offers excellent image quality and clear sound thanks to its microphone connection.The AI ​​screen and app for adjusting camera settings need further development.

Great optics and low light capabilities, with limited Mac support… for now.
EDIT: I have to say Hollyland reached out to make things right. My initial complaint was that the marketing did not mention that the advanced software features they advertised were not available for the Mac, at least at launch and at the time of this review. The camera itself if an excellent camera with high quality resolution and color quality. I can’t imagine that they won’t work to bring the Mac features up to the level of the PC software. I’ll look forward to when they do. In the meantime, I’ll enjoy the camera for what it is, a great looking camera with low light capabilities and great color.

Epic fail: Great lens, but 90% of advertised KEY features don’t work on Macs
The lens works properly, but nearly 90% of the advertised features are incompatible with Macs and function only on PCs, rendering the product’s main features practically useless for Mac users. I swapped it out for an Insta360 Link 2C that worked flawlessly w the same function, features, and form. Bummer, as Hollyand is a great company with great products. They launched this prematurely.

Incredible picture and quality!! but limited software features for Mac
Camera is solid. Fantastic true quality and feel you would desire in a webcam, whether streaming or otherwise–this matches the specs you are looking for. The clarity easily beat out the built-in webcam on my Mac, giving more clarity and true color capture to my entire picture.Mounting is uniquely magnetic, giving you a ton more options for unqiue placement. On a laptop or PC, the foldable base is easy to mount, and a low profile design that wont block the front screen very much or at all. The foldable base also has tripod mount screw option too to give you even more options and an internal flex piece that allows you to precisely get the tilt you want!This unit is true plug and play. No fancy setup needed. The wireless lavaliere mic comes with fuzzy wrap for reduce wind/noise. Powers on and automatically connects. Super easy setup. Love the quick turn privacy shutter too!Downsides:-Mac compatibility. The description is honest about this–so it’s not a surprise, but HollyStudio only has very basic parameters to adjust, but doesn’t really support the AI Tracking, Skin Perfecting or Green Screen.-Included Type-C cable is THICK and not flexible. So when plugging into my macbook and then into webcam, I found the cord cumbersome and inflexible enough that it pulled on the camera too much for me to adjust it’s placement without battling with it. I used another thinner Type-C to type-C cord that was less demanding.For the price, it upholds the quality you would expect with the beautiful features of the mic. For any new streamers or content developers, this is a solid value. To maximize your dollar, use a PC that would maximize the HollyStudio features if you are looking to do editing/touch-ups. But overall, a very solid device, worth it’s value–and even more so when they get the software updated for Mac users!

I am not the most proficient when it comes to technical products and generally want something that is good to go from plugging in or connecting to my devices and this webcam is far to complicated.I had a couple of goes but it just wasn’t having it so I gave up.No doubt someone more technically proficient would be fine with it, but if you have limited bandwidth for setting up technology maybe get something simpler or make sure you have someone on hand to help you with it.
