Functionality was pretty good, at least on par with normal XBox …
Item was shipped to me twice. The first time I ordered this, the unit looked new and untarnished. Functionality was pretty good, at least on par with normal XBox One, but the fan was making odd buzzing noises. After doing some research, this appears to be a common defect from some cheap parts that microsoft uses for the slim. Thing is, the slim is advertised as being whisper quiet, so requested a replacement and the seller had a brand new to me almost next business day (well done there). Plugged in the new one (it still looked pristine) and it purrs like a kitten. In terms of functionality, this is basically just a smaller XBox one. Pro: it has actual buttons on the unit to press to turn on/off and eject discs, so no more accidental turn-offs while mid-game. It can also stand up, which the old XBox one could not. Con: It does not have a port for Kinect. The adapter normally is $40.00 off the microsoft store, but I read somewhere that if you had a normal XBox one registered with a Kinect and then registered the slim, they would give it to you for free (I have yet to try this since I rarely use Kinect). All in all, I love the look of the console and how small and quiet it is. The blue color is definitely nice.

Far Superior to Original Xbox One
The Xbox One S is far superior to the original Xbox One. It is small and lightweight. One thing I disliked most about the original Xbox One was hauling it around when I visited family for extended periods. The Xbox One S has no large power brick, just a simple plug-in. It is faster and has amazing graphics capabilities. The controller it comes with is superior to the original Xbox One controller. It has small studs on the handles for easy gripping and the thumb sticks have been redesigned for better control and grip. Actually, the controller was redesigned for comfort, ease, and sensitivity. I sold both of my original Xbox Ones to get this system and I don’t regret it at all. The special edition color has gotten me a lot of compliments; it is truly unique. Because this is only a 500 GB console, I would highly suggest getting a 2-3 TB external hard drive for extra storage, especially if you play large files like Fallout, CoD, GTA, or if you tend to download whatever you can get with Xbox Live or EA Access.

I love the color however I can not keep the controller …
I love the color however I can not keep the controller linked to the console. After several attempt and taking the batteries out and putting them back in it will out of no where link for a few minutes only to stop working again. Frustrating!! I’m going to order a new controller and hopefully will not continue to have the same issues.

Very happy! No Complaints 🙂 – My first console ever!
This is my very first console and I’m incredibly happy with the purchase. It is easy to set up and has been working perfectly.I definitely recommend it. Comes with 1 matching controller and a pair of AA batteries (If you haven’t invested in rechargeable batteries yet, you should definitely consider it), 1 HDMI cable, and one power supply cable. Additionally, you also get a 14 day Xbox Live Gold trial! No games are included though. (At the time of purchase and of writing this review) this is listing is strictly a console, not a bundle; there are no games included in this purchase. Always read the descriptions in addition to the reviews and questions, before purchasing on Amazon– sellers can change and the products they’re selling can change. If something negative happens to alter my review, I will return to update it. I have yet to get a headset and to activate my Xbox Live Trial, but I don’t anticipate any trouble there.P.S. This does not relate to the product itself, but I figure it’s worth it to mention that the person who made the delivery did not ask for a signature, even though Amazon said delivery would require one. Considering I live in an apartment complex having packages delivered properly is hugely important. Had I not been home at the time anyone could have picked up my package and stolen my brand new Xbox.

Great console
While browsing for an upgrade to a Xbox One S. I happened to come across this deal for an un bundled Xbox One S. I did not want a bundle, nor, was I liking the standard White versions. So this caught my eye immediately. My only concern was that it might be used and or refurbished. Some of the reviews were very misleading. Given that there was a return available, I decided to try it. It was a brand new console. Worked perfect right off the bat. Being a long time Xbox owner, I’m well educated on console data transfers etc. So I breezed thru the set up and couldn’t be happier. The seller gave me the console as promised aside from the stand. Which is not included btw. I don’t use the stand anyway, so this was not an issue. I’m a prime member and the console was shipped in 2 days and arrived on Sunday at that. Would recommend this seller and this console.

They sell used consoles as new
I bought this back in January of this year and it the console was seemingly new. I had issues with some games not launching but it didn’t bother me because they were free game Pass games.Later on I tried playing a game that I bought from Walmart and it wouldn’t launch at all. I returned it and got another copy only for it to do the same thing. It even did it on a all digital copy I bought from the Xbox Live store. So I called Microsoft and after running the gauntlet of trouble shooting steps, they said the only thing else to do is get it repaired. They ran my console’s serial number and said it was activated on 5/22/2017 and expired 5/22/2018. The only way that could of happened was that the console was in use before I bought it.As soon as I can figure out how to upload the video of it not playing those games and simply crashing back to the home screen, I will upload it at evidence.

Weak Hardware, No Options for Upgrades or SSD
Does not come with an SSD option, and you cannot upgrade the hardware, no matter how much you are willing to pay.It loses network connectivity after being logged in for long periods of time (greater than an hour) and DOWNLOAD speeds drop to less than 1MB, even with UPLOAD at GigaByte and wired servcies.
