Great dual purpose tripod and selfie stick
Needed to replace my tripod and came across this while looking for a new one. It’s compact and fits in my backpack easily. Has a built in phone holder and a camera mounting screw for whichever device you want to film or photograph with.It also doubles as a selfie stick with the legs collapses. The only thing that’s missing is a button for taking pictures when in selfie stick mode. But we use a timer on selfie mode so it gives us a chance to set the photo up properly. I’m hesitant to take off a star for the lack of the remote button because outside of that it’s a well designed highly useful product. If the button isn’t an issue for you then I highly recommend it.

Missing too many features
This is a miss. With no ability to swivel, you have to pivot the entire assembly to turn the shot. Neewer generally is a great value brand and well-designed, but this cuts too many corners and makes too many compromises. There are much better selfie tripods that do the job more elegantly for me to recommend this one.It folds up into a big bulky baton, which is also a bit baffling. There are other products that have bendable feet that come with a ball-mount head, which would allow you to pivot the camera/cell in a nearly infinite range of motion. This one has only adjustment for vertical angle, and it’s a detented/stepped adjustment, so you might not be able to get it juust right.

This was perfect for what I needed, lightweight inexpensive tripod.It was surprisingly hard to knock over, although it does wobble quite a bit due to it’s lightweight construction.Great for throwing in a backpack, not so great if it’s windy or on a dance floor…With video stabilisation activated on my phone’s camera it did really well recording an outdoor wedding.
