Just didn’t seem to work at all
We were troubleshooting other issues with the owl tabletops and the owl bar and then waited too late to test the mic but it never seemed to ever work. We plugged it into 2 different owl devices. stuck with it now.

Only for LARGE spaces
We had a room that was in between Owl’s recommended specs from just an Owl to one with an additional mic. The extra mic actually made our situation worse. First, the acoustics are different with the extra mic, so the sound was worse. Second, the Owl doesn’t use the sound from the extra mic when focusing video, so if your person is near the extra mic, the Owl likely won’t pick up on them so they don’t show on video. We had the Owl and the mic six feet apart. Again, we had a special case where our table and room were between Owl’s specs.

The Owl Labs Expansion Mic definitely boosted the sound quality for our meetings, so no complaints there. It picks up every voice clearly, even from across the room. My only gripe? I wish the cable was longer! It’s like the mic gets shy and doesn’t want to leave the nest. I mean, I get it—owls love their space—but come on, give us a little more wiggle room.On the bright side, I’m hoping to save up for the new Meeting Owl 4K, because clearly, I’m all-in on this owl-themed tech at this point. Just gotta convince my boss it’s an investment in productivity… or maybe just tell him it hoots.
