Great price for a one-rack unit with 4 mics
The Phenyx Pro (PTC-4) offers clear sound, simple setup, and dependable performance. This system has four wireless microphones that pick up voices well and work perfectly for conferences, meetings, lectures, or church events. Even great for picking up crowd response on 2 and recording for online. Not a bad idea for podcasting either.A big advantage for setting sound with multiple systems and lots of different signals is the capability of 50 UHF channels for each microphone. The auto-scan feature selects the optimal channel to prevent interference and sound loss.The microphones have flexible necks for easy positioning and clear audio. They are made from strong materials and look professional, so they’re built to last. The system is easy to set up, even for beginners.The microphones are user-friendly, with transmitters featuring a solid base for secure attachment.No issues with feedback, even with line array system. The windscreens on the microphones help prevent popping sounds when speaking.Great price for a one-rack unit with 4 mics. Customer service at Phenyx is always a pleasure if you ever have questions.

Crisp clean Sound for your Conference
The Phenyx Pro Wireless Conference Microphone System (PTC-4) is an outstanding solution for anyone seeking professional-grade performance for their conference.Each transmitter has a suitably weighted base that the high-sensitivity gooseneck microphone tightly attaches to that that keeps it perfectly in place. The mute/ power button is conveniently placed, and the mute indicator is easily seen (by everyone) so that the speaker knows if they have muted their mic. The system has been specially tuned so that it reproduces the natural voice of the speaker and helps reduce listener fatigue. The mics are quite directional. They also had quite a decent pickup distance. (One of our participants was routinely 8-10 inches away with no issues). During setup, one of our guys walked up to the mains, facing them, while talking on the mic with no feedback.The mics look fantastic. The windscreens definitely prevent any plosives you might get. The mute/on light is a glowing ring at the bottom of the windscreen, so you can see it from wherever you may be mixing from, and the speaker definitely can. Like I said earlier, so can everyone else. Green is on and a dim red for mute.Battery life seemed great. We got several hours without failure. I change batteries daily, so the best I can offer is more than 6 hours.For the the receiver their are 50 UHF frequencies per microphone, which ensures a stable and interference-free signal, even in environments saturated with wireless devices. The auto-scan function effortlessly identifying the clearest available frequencies to maintain uninterrupted transmission. The IR eye on the microphone base is for pairing the mic to the receiver. It’s a very simple process. First you scan for clear channels. Then you pair the transmitters. All Phoenix Pro programmable systems use the same procedure.Everyone was pleased with the ease of use and the sound reproduction of the units at the conference. We will be using them again.

Seamless Setup, Professional Sound Quality
I recently worked sound for a large fundraising event and the Phenyx Pro Wireless Conference Microphone System (PTC-4) was an absolute game-changer. We needed a reliable setup for multiple speakers rotating throughout the evening, and this system exceeded all expectations.The quad-channel receiver made it easy to manage four podium microphones at once without interference. The UHF frequencies and auto scan were seamless—we had no dropouts, no background noise, and the clarity of each speaker’s voice was outstanding, even in a large, crowded room. The gooseneck mics were sturdy, professional-looking, and picked up vocals with crystal-clear precision without picking up unwanted background chatter.What impressed me most was how consistent the audio quality was from start to finish. Guests in the back of the room commented on how well they could hear every speaker, which isn’t always the case at big events. Setup was quick and intuitive, which saved me a lot of stress on a tight timeline.If you’re running lectures, church services, conferences, or fundraising events, this system is rock-solid. It gave us professional-grade sound and reliability at a price point that’s hard to beat. I’ll definitely be using Phenyx Pro again for future events.

Good for the money, but not pro quality.
These Phenyx Pro conference microphones are almost really good, but still fall short of being pro quality gear. For most applications they are acceptable but for critical work where absolute clarity and reception is necessary, you will get mixed results.Seems like all the Phenyx Pro wireless models are prone to short dropouts which make audible popping and static noises which are very evident over a PA or in a recording. Scanning for best frequencies seems to help, until it doesn’t. Even at short range within a conference room I have experienced these dropouts. The sound quality is good from the microphones themselves and can be EQ’d to sound fine for all applications. The functions and ease of setup are also very good.There is a slight noise floor on the output side from the receiver, which also can be reduced with some good pinpoint EQ.Can’t beat the price, of course but you aren’t getting true pro equipment.
