No, the doorbell battery doesn’t support 24/7 recording or continuous live streaming. Reolink PC Client could continue live viewing it for 5min and the Reolink phone App for 20min. Then it will enter standby mode to save the battery life.

Yes, this doorbell is compatible with traditional mechanical chimes and works with transformers ranging from 8-24VAC, and 5VA-40VA.
Does it support third-party products?
No, the doorbell and its chime cannot work with doorbells or chimes from other brands.
What kind of chimes can be added to this doorbell?
This doorbell supports both wired traditional and digital chimes. For wireless connectivity, we recommend using Reolink Chime V2 (sold separately) or newer versions. Each doorbell can connect with up to 5 chimes.

Best doorbell cam for the money
Great camera, exactly what we were looking for. It is battery powered, but not with replaceable batteries. It charges using usb-c. Works great, has a wide view from the camera lense.

Great doorbell camera!
I had a blink before this, that one didn’t impress me really and towards the end I hated it. It kept unsycing from module and rarely worked or notified me of visitors.This one has been great! Works great with my reolink camera system. I also got the chime too. I like that you can customize the doorbell and have other customization options. I also like that it’ll detect if there’s a package at the door. Great picture quality both day and night. Connection to the camera from the app has been just fine.

Works great if you want cloud-only, useless for local network control
If you’re used to other Reolink cameras, this doorbell is completely different. My Reolink PoE and WiFi cameras work great – RTSP streaming, cross-VLAN access, local-only operation, VPN access all work fine.This doorbell? None of that works.• No RTSP support (can’t use with Blue Iris/Frigate/NVR software)• Must be on same subnet as viewing device (network segmentation doesn’t work)• Requires cloud access for push notifications (can’t block WAN and still get alerts)• Doesn’t work when connected via VPN to home networkIf you run a basic home network with everything on one subnet and don’t care about VPN access, it’ll probably work fine. If you have VLANs, want local-only operation, or need VPN access, skip this and get a Hikvision or Amcrest doorbell instead.Reolink’s other cameras are great. This doorbell feels like a completely different product designed for Ring users who want everything cloud-based.

Wasn’t able to access the camera through my Synology or any web browser.
If you already have an existing security setup, this might not work with it unless you buy a Reolink Hub…which essentially replaces the system you already have.I purchased this as I already have a Reolink cam that is tied into my Synology setup and it works great. I don’t want any of these ring like solutions that require internet…which this ended up being. If you buy a Reolink Battery camera, there is a chance that it won’t tie into your system.Pros:Easy to installSetup app on your phone seems to work wellDual BandCons: This device doesn’t feature a way to access a web GUI/backend or work as an IP camera.It stores video on their Reolink Hub or locally on an SD card so when the camera is stolen, so is the evidence.At the end of the day, this is a completely worthless device for a group of people. If you are starting from scratch, and buy their Hub, then you might have better luck than I did. Another option is to use their phone app to access the camera but there doesn’t seem to be a good way to access it from a windows PC. Even their own windows software wasn’t able to find it. My understanding is that this is a limitation of the battery powered models.* I wanted to add a star because their customer service reached out to me with the information. I also checked the description and it does mention some of it as well. I’ll be buying another camera, but it won’t be battery powered! *

Doesn’t fulltime record. Limited to 256g MicroSD. Other than these, excellent. Color nightvision is very good in the city nearly anywhere. Microphone is sensitive and resistant to some noise. Low delay from trigger to chime and phone activity. Wired power. Old wired chime compatible and/or add a reo-link chime.

This REOLINK doorbell is an absolute tank. The 150°x150° head-to-toe view? It’s so good, I’m pretty sure it can see the disappointment in my soul when the delivery driver drops off junk mail instead of a package.The best part is definitely the no subscription needed! It’s nice to have a camera that doesn’t want to get into a long-term financial relationship with me. Installation was easy—just remember that if you got the wired version, the “few days to fully charge” isn’t a suggestion; it’s a silent, non-negotiable staring contest with your power outlet.Now, for the fun part: the fine-tuning. Get ready to spend a delightful weekend teaching your camera the difference between an actual intruder and a rogue tumbleweed, or a falling leaf. You will receive many, many notifications. Your phone will vibrate so much, you’ll think you’re living inside a pinball machine.But once you’ve successfully tamed the notification beast, this camera is great. You can truly see all, from the top of the mailman’s hat to the state of their shoes. Just charge it up, set aside some time for the notification therapy, and enjoy your new, vigilant electronic sentry. Highly recommend!

One of the best doorbell with features never seen in other doorbells but…But there is a problem which i am discussing with Reolink is that this new 2k doorbell the below don’t work which maybe a new firmware needed of a but with the current application need to be updated.1. Says format successfull but SD Card still not formated.2. Album shows empty so you can not delete unwanted captures.3. Wide view doesn’t work it flips but picture still small n not Wide.The rest is 100% perfect 👌 and the best of that u can limit the detection area so card and people passing far are not detected, the detection will tell if it’s a person or a car.I may return this product becuse Amazon seems they couldn’t fix my problem because the DoorBell was from Germany

Good: No cloud subscription, works with existing chimes, easy to install, camera is of adequate quality. Seems to drip charge off the existing wiring. Supports a wide range of voltages from the wiring.Bad: Really needs better API and integration possibilities (for example to work with Home Assistant, or Apple HomeKit – to do that you need the Reolink hub). Notifications seem really hit and miss, sometimes we get them, sometimes we don’t, sometimes we get too many – at least the doorbell always works. App is the usual badly developed poor UX from China nonsense. It’s a little too easy to remove.

Brak wsparcia dla obsługi google home (naciśniecie przycisku dzwonka nie jest obsługiwane mimo opcji do wyboru w aplikacji google home), kolejny duży problem to brak jednoczesnej obsługi NVR i chmury więc albo mamy kamerę podpiętą pod rejestrator i dane są bezpieczne (lokalnie NVR) albo działa niezależnie (z kartą sd wewnątrz). Podłączony pod NVR nie powiadamia w aplikacji reolink że ktoś dzwoni i brak podglądu. Suport o tym wie i pracują nad tym problemem ale nie wiadomo kiedy i czy będzie to działać kiedykolwiek poprawnie.Brak w zestawie Reolink Chime którego nie idzie dokupić

This product delivers exactly as advertised, and even exceeds expectations in some areas. For me, the standout feature is the exceptional battery life. It lasts so long that I honestly can’t remember the last time I charged it—easily two months or more between full charges. That’s a huge improvement over my previous device from a well-known brand, which required much more frequent charging. Overall, I’m very impressed.
