Solid Microphone
I work in the live events industry and use this microphone as a backup or for situations where it doesn’t make sense to pack out the entire wireless setup. The on/off switch is very helpful, I sound great on this mic, it’s well built, has good heft, and has been a great value for the money.

Great for Karaoke!
I set up a large speaker (Roland KC-550 keyboard amp) for family karaoke night, or for parties.Feedback is an issue handing the mic from person to person. It’s nice having an on/off switch so when the thing is being passed around it doesn’t make the speaker feedback and squeal.Also Sennheiser e835 mics are just great anyway. They are like the SM-58 but sound better.I would easily recommend this mic for anyone who needs a great sounding dynamic mic but also needs the ability to switch on and off at the mic.

Try this over the Shure SM58
The Shure SM58 may have a more established reputation and it is a great mic BUT I’ve tried both and prefer this Sennheiser. It just works so well with my vocals and it’s also very durable. The on/off switch is a great feature. I challenge you to try them side by side. Once you go Sennheiser, you won’t go back.

The mic is great, the box it comes in is the problem
The microphone sounds great, and for a reasonable price. I got the version with the on/off switch which is nice to have. The problem is when they shipped it, they just put the mailing sticker on the microphone box. This is a common practice and I have no problem with it, the problem comes in that there was no sticker/tape over the tab where you open the box up. It’s just one pull tab and its fully open, and it wasnt even that tight. So anywhere along the shipping route someone could have so easily opened the box, pulled out the stuff, and closed it without it looking any different. Luckily mine was perfectly fine, but it is probably not a good idea to keep shipping it like that, or someone is going to be out 100 bucks because amazon didn’t put a piece of tape over the open tab.

great microphone
sennheiser mics are very impressive. This particular one has greatest sensitivity in it’s price range. I have problem making people understand that they need to be close to the mic for it to work well, but this one has better gain and at least I have a fighting chance of them being heard. When they do get close, I’m amazed how clean the sound is.

Die schnelle Lieferung, innerhalb eines Tages, hat mich schon mal beeindruckt!Da ich bisher nur Shure-Mikrofone im Einsatz hatte, war ich sehr skeptisch.Beim ersten Ansprechen des Mikrofons war ich sehr angenehm überrascht! Das E 835 S liegt gut in der Hand, wirkt sehr robust, ist rückkopplungsarm und hat einen tollen Klang! Sennheiser hat echt gute Arbeit geleistet und ein Mikrofon zum tollen Preis auf den Markt gebracht – nur Singen muss man noch selber!!!
