Massive upgrade from built in TV speakers.
In our case I am comparing the sound bar directly to the built in TV speakers as this is my experience. Our main goal was increasing the understandability of voices on TV and in movies. Our TV speakers were trebly and shrill with clarity lacking in the vocal frequency response. I was worried as we didn’t have enough room in front of the TV to place the sound bar in a traditional way and I had to split unit and place them behind the screen firing out sideways at about 45 degrees. I thought that without this direct focused sound we would be disappointed. On the contrary, these speakers resolved our vocal clarity issue quite effectively. And as a plus the significantly improved bass response and much wider stereo field makes movies more immersive and engaging. For someone who is used to built in TV speakers, this is a game changer. As some stated, these are not super loud but we find that they go plenty loud enough with headroom to spare. I mean they are amazing considering the little speakers are like 2”. Another consideration I didn’t think of when buying the speakers is that with Bluetooth we now have a small home stereo too! I would say that they pair well with a moderate sized TV in a smaller home like ours, a 2nd TV in main bedroom, or as a setup in a kid’s room. A side note: you need AAA batteries for remote.

Assistrust 90w speakers
Flexible design , perfect for flat screen tvs that have tiny speakers located on the back of the unit, these assistrust 90w speakers provide clear audio. Instructions were good and hookup was simple . Please note that cable between bases is 5 feet long.

UPDATE: Turned out it was the HDMI Arc output on my TV, not the sound bar. Plugged it into another TV and the HDMI Arc recognized the device immediately and started putting out some great sounds. I am updating the review to 4 stars, the sound quality is very good for its size and the bass is very rich. I still think the instructions are poor but after figuring it out I am very pleased woth tne outcome.ORIGINALREVIEW: This was very difficult to pair with my TV. My TV doesnt support Bluetooth, so I decided to use HDMI Arc cable to connect so I could just use the TV remote. After 2 hours of messing around with it I just gave up. I then tried the optic cable and it worked fine after only about 5 minutes of setup but I’ll always be stuck with 2 remotes. The remote for this is really bad, you have to push the buttons multiple times to get it to work. One thing that also disappointed me was that of you separate the speakers they have to be connected with a wiring harness that only comes with about 5 feet of cable. Doesn’t show this at all in the description. The overall sound quality is great and the Bluetooth is easy to pair to phone, so I did give ot 3 stars. Just had a bad experience setting it up, the directions are terrible, and I didnt really end up doing it the way I wanted.

Better than I thought it would be!
A couple of years ago I purchased a Samsung sound bar for our Samsung tv. For some reason it started getting static so we purchased a Bose and the sound was terrible. So we took it back and purchased another Samsung with rear speakers for about $400.00 and it started to have Static and had it for less than a month. For the 2nd time we took it back and got another one and within 2 days it just stopped working so it went back. So I decided to buy an off brand from Amazon for $60.00 called a assistrust 90 watt. I’m am surprised it sounds better than the Bose or the Samsung for less. So if you need a soundbar I highly recommend the Assistrust KY-2023!

Home cinema quality
I got the Assistrust sound bar for my smart TV and it practically turned my bedroom into a little movie theater, like the sound fills the whole space way better than the built-in TV speakers ever could and the bass actually has a bit of kick without rattling anything, setup was stupid easy and once it was plugged in I didn’t really have to mess with it, everything from movies to YouTube sounds way clearer and just kinda wraps around you, it’s honestly the biggest upgrade I’ve made to my room for the price.
