INCREDIBLE Bluetooth Earbuds at a GREAT Price!
Unsurprisingly, Anker has done it again. These Bluetooth earbuds are absolutely incredible. I own over 30 Anker/Soundcore products and I swear by them. Amongst these products are two (well used) pairs of Soundcore Life P3’s. I love them because of the sound quality, volume level, size, and battery life. While browsing anker’s products, I happened upon these Soundcore Life P40i Bluetooth earbuds and I was immediately interested. Knowing the great quality of all of my previously purchased Anker products and, considering these P40i’s were on sale, I figured I couldn’t go wrong. Boy was I correct. These earbuds are amazing. Unlike other brands of earbuds I’ve tried, these things get loud; not loud to the point that you’ll hurt your ears or be unable to withstand it, but loud enough that you won’t be wishing you could turn them up more. The smart noise cancellation feature is really neat. I’m in construction so the noise levels vary greatly from day to day. The smart noise cancellation keeps up by changing the type of ANC. It’s really cool. Another feature I like and one that differs from the Life P3’s is the small little nub located on the earbuds’ “touch-control” zone. It’s very convenient. In addition, there’s an audible beep when you successfully tap for touch control which has absolutely zero delay. This is great to me because it confirms whether or not you actually touched the earbud. I posted a few side by side photos of these Soundcore P40i’s and one pair of my Soundcore Life P3’s because I wanted to know the size difference in the earbuds and the case and couldn’t find any reviews mentioning it or information elsewhere mentioning it. In case anyone is interested, the P40i’s case is a little bit smaller and the earbuds’ themselves are slightly shorter. It’s great because the P40i’s are EVEN MORE compact. The battery life of these is the best; bar none. 10h per earbud per charge. I have yet to hear the “battery low” alert. The addition of the phone stand clip within the case is ingenious and a new feature that I love. I watch lots of movies and tv shows on my phone. Now, rather than holding my phone, I can put it in the P40i’s case in front of me. It’s a small feature but works wonders for my use. Lastly, the sound quality of these earbuds is insane. There are enough preset EQ options to make everybody happy but it doesn’t stop there. You can go through the soundcore app to do a hearing test and create an EQ catered to your specific level of hearing. In addition, once you’ve completed the hearing IQ, you can tweak your custom EQ setting even further by adding a preset EQ on top of it, or manually altering it yourself. I’d by 10 pairs of these if I could. For anyone out there that’s even considering these earbuds as an option, just buy them already. You will NOT be disappointed. That’s a guarantee. Great job Anker/Soundcore!

    Goodbye AirPods!!!
There’s no wrong with these earbuds !!! Take it from an amateur music producer. The bass THUMP!!! The EQ on the app is a 10/10 . Microphone quality is great , I work in a warehouse and even with all the machines on the microphones pickup crystal clear! Better than any 120$ earbuds I bought in the past . Definitely worth the money !! Connects extremely fast every time you put them in your ear . Fits perfect in the ear . Case is perfect size for quick travels. Battery life is superb even with ANC on.

P40i vs Liberty 4 NC vs JBL Vibe Beam
I ordered 3 different earbuds all within a similar price range(+- $30) to figure out which one I liked the most – Soundcore Liberty 4 NC, P40i, and JBL Vibe Beam. Here are my notes and comparisons. The Liberty 4 NC is my favorite but there is one aspect I don’t like. They Liberty’s are very clear with good bass and their app allows you to customize EQ settings which is deal breaker for me. (All three pairs have custom EQs within their respective apps). The noise cancellation is great, comparable or even better than AirPros 2 and the fit is superb and on par with the P40i.The JBL Vibe was less comfortable but more so than JBL Tune(ordered these a while back). The JBL Vibes are not noise canceling and I knew that before hand so I’m not knocking it.The JBLs are fine for the price point but not the best for quality as they use 8mm drivers vs 11mm drivers for the Soundcore. The one thing I don’t like with the Liberty’s is the slightest white noise I get when between songs or silent parts. The P40i’s don’t have that problem. The P40i have great bass and fit just as well but they lack in higher frequencies and that’s important for audiophiles. The P40i also have a much friendlier app interface with many more preset features. BUT the Liberty’s have an option to set up your “ideal listening EQ” and that is a great feature as it adjusts to your preferred sound through samples and takes the guess work out.Overall the Liberty 4 NC’s took the cake with respect to comfort and sound quality. To me, it was worth the extra $. I can’t speak on longevity as I received all three and have been testing them individually the past couple days.

Bought these on sale for working out. They’re comfortable for long periods of time and the battery lasts forever. Sound is superb for the price – I can control EQs with presets or fully custom options. Five different sized ear buds make these suitable for pretty much any size ear, so that was a nice addition in the package.I personally don’t like aggressive ANC, so the modest noise cancelling is great for me (RTINGS pegged it at about -8 decibels overall, although it was -13 to -14 decibels better in certain scenarios, such as airplane/office/street). I walk extensively and like to be able to hear traffic, and when working out I want to know when people are nearby so I don’t bump into anyone. Wind reduction works quite well, although isn’t perfect. Again, not a flaw for me – I’d rather have more natural sound throughput than artificial silence.Charging is fast, the case is sturdy and small, with a magnetic closure. Everything just works really well together.Bluetooth connection is quick and reliable, with a surprisingly good range. I can leave my phone in one room and wander around my home without needing to worry about interrupted music/podcasting.I highly recommend these earbuds for your daily drivers. They’re not terribly expensive (I got them on sale – $69 CAD pre-tax) so you don’t have to worry about where they are every ten seconds. Their build quality is high and their sound quality is excellent. Seriously, I have more expensive earphones and they’re currently sitting on my desk gathering dust.

  6. Fast and Curious

Only day 2 of usage so I can’t speak for battery life yet, but …Sound quality – utterly stunned at how wide the soundstage is and clarity of all frequencies, from the bass to mid to treble. I’ve been using many (I keep losing them) A90 Pro cheapos whose noise cancelling never worked and sound quality was always variable. I love the app which did an analysis of my hearing and gave me a custom EQ.Noise cancelling – again, utterly brilliant. In auto mode it works a treat and in manual mode on max setting, the kitchen fan virtually disappears. It’s not quite like mu Bose on ear QC headphones but very impressive at this price point (£38 at the time of writing).Case – very clever little case with what was a strange pull up notch which my son discovered and told me it is a phone stand! And I notice the bottom of the case has a rubberised bit that stops it moving about – very clever.App – again very user friendly and intuitive with loads of functionality – from EQ to the brilliantly useful flexibility of being able to set what taps down what functions.Fit – the fit is perfect for my adult ears. Like all things in-ear the key is to find the correct sized rubber / silicone bits (of which it comes with many variations) to properly seal into the ear canal – reducing noise and improving fit.Downside – not as responsive to taps as the A90s were but for now I’m wondering if it’s me just getting used to a difference in responsiveness?🤷‍♂️I’ll update this review as I experience them for longer, but first impressions are of a very high quality product. Bought a second set for my son. Especially as I find the volume is 1/2 of what it needed to be on the A90 pros due to better sound and actual working ANC!Update 12-Sep-25: battery life is stunningly good, ANC works flawlessly, no connection issues – in fact I have it connected to my laptop and phone at the same time. a VERY happy customer
