Great case with kickstand
The first criteria I use in buying a new case for an iPhone is having a kickstand built into the case. The primary features I want in a kick stand is that the stand is near the bottom of the case and is horizontal to the surface the phone is resting on. Having a kickstand that is horizontal to the surface and being near the bottom allows you to utilize the phone in both a horizontal and vertical position. I have had one kickstand that is perpendicular to the surface the phone rests on and I really did not like that set up. First it was hard to get the stand opened as the charging port was right underneath it. Second, the stability of the phone is not very good being in the middle as it can rock from side the side and is generally unstable in the vertical position. Another case I saw had a stand that was designed as a border around the camera lenses that you would pull out. However, with that style of kickstand, you cannot use the phone vertically as the phone would be upside down. Since Apple’s operating systems do not rotate the home screen, that’s a very impractical set up for me.So this long winded introduction brings me to the Torras case with MagSafe and kickstand for the iPhone 17 Pro. This is a five star plus case. It is well-made, it has some grip on the sides of the case for security when holding it and the kickstand is extremely solid and feels substantial when you pull it open and close it. The phone is stable in both the vertical and horizontal positions. Putting the case on the phone is easy as is removal of the phone from the case. The case does not add a lot of weight to the phone itself. The MagSafe portion of the case works well. My phone charges with the case on and it sticks to my MagSafe magnetic mount in my car. The case covers the buttons on the phone but that is not an issue as they work extremely well. They even have what feels like a special surface for the camera control button that is on the right side of the phone. If you use that camera button, this case works well with it as all functions are available with the case on. As I said above, I cannot be happier with this case and for the money it’s fantastic.
