Can’t see the entire screen.
This VR Headset for the Nintendo Switch 2 is an interesting accessory. The straps are good quality and adjust well to fit most people well; even my younger children can wear it without issue. The slot for the device needs some work, as the single strap on top doesn’t do much, and can come undone easily – it really needs more of a clip on top, and perhaps some extra security on the sides as well. There is a groove that fits directly into the USB-C slot on bottom that helps keep it in place, but it still fell out when trying to pass the device over to one of the kids to try out. I like that the lenses are adjustable in various ways to improve the image that can be seen. That being said, you cannot see the whole screen when this is installed, so it’s hard to navigate through the system’s menu screen. Upon entering a game it became even more clear that you couldn’t see everything, and the middle of the screen is completely cut off, so there are “missing” images in what you can see. While playing Minecraft, the inventory and chests are almost completely unusable, you can’t see your health, hunger, or on-hand inventory bars at all. My son tried MK8 on it, and said that racing was better than Minecraft, but it was still hard to navigate with the lack of continuity in vision these caused. Overall, this is a fun idea, but it really needs some work, we should definitely be able to see the entire screen vertically and horizontally, neither of which are true.
