Very solid option if you for some reason need a wireless condenser mic
If I’m honest, my expectations out of this mic were low. My standards are probably unfairly high as I normally use a CAD mic on an XLR interface – but honestly, this pleasantly surprised me. Wireless was rock solid stable, audio quality was way better than I expected out of it, and latency really wasn’t bad. The shock mount and base seem pretty solidly made, and battery life is respectable. If you need or want a wireless microphone at all costs, there are remarkably few compromises here. Gets a solid recommendation for the very reasonable price.Pros+ Audio quality is comparable to other entry-level small diaphragm condenser microphones. It sounds full and clear, with only minimal digital compression present – and even then, that’s something that’s only going to be picked up by a critical listener. Way, way better than something like a boom mic on a wireless headset – they’re not skimping on bitrate.+ The microphone is better constructed than I was assuming from the pictures. It’s a mostly aluminum body, with a metal pop filter (nicely sized too – doesn’t get in the way of a monitor), and plastic (but sturdy feeling and weighty) stand. Switchgear is all nice and smooth, and the tap-to-mute is a very nice touch. Unless you make a habit out of knocking your microphones off the desk, this should last, even if you travel with it. It’s also removable from its stand for mounting on an arm.+ Latency is present, but minimal, no more than 50ms. That’s on both mic input and 3.5mm output. I’ve experienced a lot more latency on some audio interfaces, and unless your use case requires realtime input, it’s not a problem.+ Noise cancellation works surprisingly well. To my ear, the audio quality actually surpasses Krisp in Discord, even if it’s a little bit less effective and slightly more prone to dropouts. Very respectable performance.+ Battery life is plenty good. I’ve been using it a few hours a day for chats with friends and it’s yet to run out of a full charge in over 4 days. Mind you, that’s with RGB disabled.+ I normally don’t care about RGB at all, and I still don’t, but I’ll say the lighting spanning the full area of the mic grille looks really nice.Cons- As said previously, the built in noise cancellation can occasionally drop your voice if you’re in a particularly noisy environment, or you’re not speaking loudly enough.

Great mic with a teeny tiny bit of latency over wireless
If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. You see a lot of Vine reviews that are cookie cutter and based on templates. I aim to make my reviews honest and non-cookie cutter (other than this intro and disclaimer).* These items are not actually free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. Therefore, I will never order something from Vine unless I actually intend to use it. I think this is important for readers to understand because it means I will never order an item just to provide a fake five star review to a company. If I review something as good, it means I actually enjoyed using it or it fills its intended purpose correctly. Items that don’t meet my expectations will be reviewed accordingly. Why I ordered this item: I have to make instructional videos for work quite often. I’ve been using the mic that’s built into my webcam, but I decided to order this to upgrade to something better. I do have a more traditional mic setup that I could have used, but I don’t want to deal with an audio interface or anything like that so I wanted a wireless or USB option.Likes:* This is both a wireless AND USB option! I love the versatility.* Audio over this mic sounds 10x better than the audio I’ve been recording via my webcam. It’s an overwhelming difference in terms of clarity and noice cancellation.* The build quality on this is great. The weighted base feels heavy and an accidental nudge won’t knock it off my desk.* The shock mount on it is excellent. It’s much better than the shock mount on my traditional mic setup.* Over USB there is essentially zero latency. No likes:* Over 2.4Ghz, there is a tiny bit of latency. Most users likely wouldn’t even notice this as it’s just a few tens of milliseconds, but I’m kind of hyper attuned to this due to previous music production experience and latency is my pet peeve. I will only be using this mic wired which is a bummer.Would I pay full price for this product: I think so.Final thoughts: I think maybe my dream of finding a wireless mic with zero latency is not going to happen until there is some new wireless protocol that is specifically designed to eliminate it. This is a fine mic, and my nitpicky review does not diminish that it does its job exceedingly well. You probably won’t be bothered by the latency unless you are a psychopath like me.
