Nice Network Switch
So far it seems to be working great and the connection was very easy. It’s small and convenient. The charging cord is only about 2 feet, but normally it would be near a router or power socket so not a problem. You might just need an extension cord. Worked instantly.

This does exactly what it claims. Most POE powered switches are pass through, which is not what I wanted. This is exactly what I wanted. POE powered switch that delivers five normal gigabit ethernet ports. Immediately after plugging in I tested it and got full speed. This was an extremely satisfying purchase. Not only was it inexpensive, It is very high-quality. It is metal and heavy and it even came with an AC adapter, which I will not need since it is fully powered by POE. I cannot recommend this enough. Well done.

The promise of a feature-rich, web-managed 5-port gigabit switch for under $10 was compelling. It had everything I needed for a simple network drop in my utility closet, including a built-in power supply.However, my experience quickly turned concerning.After deployment, I observed unusual network activity and even a brief outage. More alarmingly, I discovered the switch was initiating outbound communications from my network, despite me never enabling any “Cloud” or remote management features. This directly contradicts the expectation of a locally managed device and raises significant privacy flags about what data it might be transmitting.For clarity and peace of mind, I chose to return this switch. I’ve since replaced it with a Netgear GS305E, which provides the local management I need without the hidden outbound traffic. If network privacy is a concern for you, I strongly advise investing in a more reputable brand.

The price is really good and it looks classy but it could be a bit more stable. It takes a little time to connect and sometime drop the signal. Useful for simple and low demand network.

Bought this POE ethernet switch to connect to my recently purchased Home Assistant yellow. The HA yellow version I bought was POE and this was my first venture into this way of powering devices.The reason I bought this switch was price. An outstanding deal for a 4 port POE switch compared to the others that in some cases were more than 2-3 times the price. I personally struggle to see the justification in some of the prices of these named brand switches for something that essentially is only providing power to a device over an ethernet cable.The box arrived next day after order and was very secure (inside its own little anti static bag) and also comes with a kettle type plug lead to power the switch. It also comes with a cat 6 ethernet cable to connect to a device.Once unboxed, I plugged the power into a socket near my router and using another ethernet cable I had, connected it direct into router. Power then turned on and light immediately came on the switch indicating that I was connected to my router.Then plugged in my new cat 6 cable and plugged it into the ethernet port on my HA yellow and the satisfying site of seeing the lights fire up.Overall, very happy so far with the switch and will be looking to add further POE devices to it and see how it handles a higher load.
