Great Sound & Easy Setup / Use
The S500 speaker delivers great sound, and together with the mics in the S500 there has been a very noticeable improvement in the sound on both sides of Teams and Zoom meetings in comparison to the laptop mic and speakers. Setup is as easy as connecting the S500 to the laptop and ensuring the audio and mic Settings on the laptop are set to use the S500 device. The S500 is well made and looks great. Having the volume/mute controls in a row in the front of the device with the light indicator across the device above the touchpad controls make it a perfect setup for easy everyday home office / remote work use.

Excellent mic for hybrid work meetings
Purchased for work, works great, easy plug & play, allows colleagues on Zoom/Teams to hear everyone in the conference room speaking. Comes with everything you need plus a handy durable box that we keep the unit in with all the peripheral supplies for when a colleague checks it out of my office. Comes with nice zipper carry hard-shell protective shell. Anker is a great brand. Well made.

Anker S500 – Amazing
I purchased the Anker S500 to use at work, and it paired up almost automatically and the sound quality and build quality is very solid. A little disclaimer about me: I typically like name brands (Jabra, Bose, etc.), and I have always thought of Anker as an “Amazon”-type brand, but – I decided to go with this one because a team member has the same one and he swears buy it. Other people within my team have various portable conference room speaker/mic devices (Jabra, etc.) and hands-down, the S500 is a superior product. 80% of the time, my laptop is glued to my desk with dual 24″ monitors and I use a bluetooth headset, but 20% of the time – I need to work remote and have TEAMS meetings with other people where we need conference room mic/speaker capabilities and up to this point, I have been using the built-in technology of my Dell Latitude (standard corporate issued) setup .. but, the new Anker S500 is loud and the microphone picks up voices while cutting out unwanted background noises (like dogs barking, overhead announcements, etc.). There are many other cheaper choices (and they may be equally as good), but if your budget can afford it, I would recommend the Anker S500. You will not be disappointed at the overall quality (you get what you pay for with this device.)

Clear Sound and Great Mic — Perfect for Daily Use
I use this speakerphone every day at work, and it’s been a huge help for conference calls. The sound quality is excellent — clear and natural — and my coworkers always tell me that I come through loud and clear on their end. The microphones are very sensitive (which is great for meetings), but I’ve learned to be careful when stepping out of the room since it can still pick up my voice from a distance!The only minor issue I’ve noticed is that it occasionally loses connection, and I have to restart it. I’m not sure if that’s the speaker or just a quirk with Teams, but it doesn’t happen often enough to be a dealbreaker. Overall, it’s a reliable, high-quality conference speaker that makes daily meetings a lot smoother.

Great! But needs IT support to set up
I was going back and forth between a 4 and 5 star, but considering I have bought 3 of these Ankers, I decided to go with 5 stars. These Ankers work like a charm. Both the input and output sound is great quality, even from across the room. I use these with my virtual assistant. We have gone through a few microphone options and this one has been superior by far. The reason why I keep buying them is because they work so well.My only issue with the Ankers is they are super hard to set up. They will work when initially plugged in, but with subsequent uses there seem to be issues with the computer and also the computer programs being able to recognize it. I’ve had to have IT support help me set up all three Ankers I’ve purchased, which includes disabling any other sort of microphone connected to the computer and some other IT magic.

Decent individual units, but the point is pairing them
The page and sales pitch says a lot about being able to link multiple units to cover a larger room. Only after purchasing it did I find via the support forums that if you want to use the wireless link between units, one of them HAS to be connected via USB-C to a PC and WILL NOT work when they are linked via Bluetooth. This defeats the purpose of wireless speakers.As individual units, they are solid. However since the sales pitch is about the ability to link multiple units, you’d probably be better off with the considerably cheaper PowerConf S3 instead.

Great for travel and desk use instead of a dedicated speaker setup
This is a great addition to not only my travel bag but also my day to day desk. I’ve used it traveling in conference rooms and it works just as good as most of the fixed conference devices, in my hotel room (when my headset dies) with the volume down and it’s still clear. At my desk, my monitor does not have speakers, so I use this in place of them. While it’s not surround sound, it is just as good or better than most 2 speaker desk setups. Very high quality sound. Would suggest to anyone.
