Internal vs. External Capture card
We bought an Elgato HD60 X at the beginning of the year so my hubby could start streaming. In October, there was a sale on this item that we could not pass up to test the product. The raw frames alone was a huge difference. 1080p was a game changer and his 1440p captures are so much better now. VRR actually works and registers with select devices. We do recommend making sure your motherboard BIOS is configured for Gen 4 PCIe and not Auto. Compatibility flawless and 4k can record high frames compared to the 30 fps on the Elgato. It’s an easy and clean installation and shows a nifty RGB with logo that can be customized. This can also capture true 5.1 and can do so with OBS plug in by AverMedia so the Audio quality is pristine! Overall, internal card wins by a mile for anything captures above 1080p as the Elgato can at least do 120 fps decently for streaming. However this unit has the raw horsepower, features, and aesthetic that any streamer would be looking for.

Great Quality
Great recording quality and no noticeable latency. I have a 2560×1080 monitor with a Radeon RX 7800 XT and can get 144+ frames on most games and record at 60 fps at the same time through OBS.My only complaint is that sometimes my computer will stop recognizing it, or the pass through will work but it won’t be recognized for recording. I don’t know if this is caused by a different component or the capture card itself.

Forget Elgato, this is the go.
Excellent image quality and audio, no lag and passthrough works perfect. OBS plug-in is a nice touch. For HDMI 2.1, this card is hard to go past especially for the price.

Reliable quality
The capture card worked as intended out of the box. It has a slightly lower max resolution than the ElGato HD Pro, but at least it works reliably, even when my ElGato HD Pro does not because of power consumption issues with one of my MD drives.ElGato HD Pro = slightly better streaming qualityAvermedia HDMI 2.1 = better reliability with slightly less streaming quality.

Used elgato for years, never going back
Easy setup, reliable connection, does what’s advertised, better than Elgato capture products.

Good capture card
I have been using this capture card to stream and it has been really good. The only downside is the app needed it’s not the greatest and sometimes bugs out for no reason. It’s super easy to install. I have audio through mixer so no issues in that end and the audio syncs well with the display capture with minimal delay.

I don’t know how the card performs. Didn’t fit in my computer
I can’t talk negative about this. Because it wouldn’t fit in my computer. It was 100% my mistake. But I’m sure it’s a great card. I just returned it.

2Weeksthen💀
Worked for 2 weeks straight then all of a sudden it wouldn’t pick up in any of my pcie Slots swapped in an old c985 and it worked and then the GC573 and it worked but for some reason it just out of nowhere wouldn’t read or even get picked up at all i even put it in another computer cause I thought what the hell maybe the drivers or the firmware is corrupted did a fresh install as well still nothing can’t tell you why or how it happened but hopefully was a bad card and nothing else sending back for a refund and will try my luck elsewhere always been a very big fan of AVerMedia hopefully if I can find this card on sale like I did for 150 I’ll pick it up again and try my luck but till then onto greener and elgatoer pastures

Works well for capturing my game consoles. No complaints, no excess bloatware required, was virtually plug-and-play for my use case. I just wish the manufacturer included a low profile bracket instead of making it a second purchase.

Fantastic card capture for ps5 on modern pc streaming.
