A great gaming device honestly
So far it’s doing everything I’m needing. I love it. Having loads of fun playing cyberpunk 2077!!!! Battery life lasts pretty long too. Graphics and gaming quality are top notch. For the money it’s awesome. It’s fast and powerful.

Amazing PC Handheld
I was going to wait on the ROG Xbox Ally, but when I saw this and since i have enjoyed lenovo laptop’s i thought to myself l, why not get one for me and my wife. I was not disappointedI saw a lot of reviews of how windows doesn’t run games well ir anything like that but this was when the handheld was released, I have this for three weeks and I love that I can play Recent Triple A games onf High to Medium on performance mode and also play indie games on efficiency mode.My wife plays lots of Sims and Inzoi so she wanted to play it Docked most of the time and she is also enjoying it.I also play lots of gamepass and remote play via the xbox and never had an issue with itEmulators? Get the Emu Deck which is so worth getting. I honestly recommend it if you just want to play games on the go and on gamepass.If not, you can also install Steam OS and it will run even better.Only area that needs improving is the battery life.

Better quality than expected.
I bought this item as used acceptable condition. When I received the item it looked almost brand new with the papers and everything that came from the factory included The charger still had the plastics on it. It looks like somebody open this package maybe decided that they didn’t want it and sent it right back. As far as this particular variation of this device I plan on using SteamOS. I had another one with the same RAM and processor and with steam OS it was amazing. I have a laptop for playing my AAA titles at higher resolution and higher frame rate so this is mainly for my backlog and indie games but it will play AAA games at a playable frame rate if you need to play them on the go. The best comparison I have for this would be that it’s like a beefed up steamed deck with a better screen.

Immediately upon turning it on, I get a firmware update not completed warning, so they didn’t install the drivers. With the drivers not being installed, I couldn’t even get through the setup. Which is ridiculous. So I had to download the bios update to a usb drive. If you’re going to resell a product, this should already be done. You want a gaming handheld to be plug and play.Of course since I didn’t purchase this handheld from Lenovo, it says I don’t have active orders meaning I can’t actually create the usb drive recovery which is disgusting on Lenovo’s part.So I have the bios update and I have to use the command prompt to try to extract the firmware from the executable file. Of course that doesn’t work. I use 7-zip to open the archive of the files and get the fd file and copy that to my usb drive. That doesn’t work either. My choices are do a fresh windows install or install steam os. I shouldn’t have to do that on a device that should have been sold to me in already working condition.

This thing is awesome
I had an original Steam Deck and didn’t use it for quiet some time. Eventually I got around to playing some stuff on it, and it was nice, but the form factor always felt clunky. I upgraded to the Lenovo Legion Go S and it’s GREAT. The screen is huge and gorgeous, the device is fast (and you can choose your power modes), and it runs SteamOS just great. I never even booted to Windows once.The form factor is much better than the standard Steam Deck, and it feels great in your hands. Battery life is comparable, perhaps better, it’s hard to tell.

If I could give this product, a true score would be 4.5. The reason I love everything about it. It works it charges. Wonderful battery life wonderful graphics. The only two issue that I have with it are that the joystick if you do not have a case for it will fall off in your book bag and if I’m playing a game that does not require the touchscreen and I’m using the joystick to move. I will accidentally touch the screen and move the camera during gameplay. If there was a setting to turn that off, this would literally be a five out of five but otherwise still a great product.

Steam OS
I’m going to start by saying I do NOT run windows on this. Steam OS is installed. With that being said that’s how I’m reviewing it. For me this is leaps and bounds better than the ROG Ally. The 8′ screen is wonderful, the ergonomics are perfect. I can game on this for hours without feeling cramped or tired ect ect. In all honesty this is a bit better than the steam deck. not a ton better, but enough that it is worth it to consider instead of the deck. Games run marginally better than on a deck as well. So my rule of thumb is, if the deck runs something at 60 fps, this will do 70+, 30 fps, this will do 40+ ect ect. battery life is hit and miss depending on what you’re playing. The wife loves to play sonic and can literally go 6+ hours without a charge. Some titles its less than 2 hours. For all those wondering is the LED’s work on steam OS, they pushed an update out that made them work. There are tons of reviews of these things all over. They are 100% worth it if youre going for Steam OS. if not…. the Z1 extreme is what youre looking for.

I replace SSD drive 512GB to 2TB with ease. Install Steam client for Windows 11 and works fine for 2 days now. Got this GO S ongoing Black Friday deals for SG$566. My Bluetooth 5.0 devices such as keyboard, mouse, & speakers works fine! Playing Diablo 4 now.
