Two Classic Arcade Games in One Portable Console
As a fan of the arcade classic, Galaga, and to a lesser extent, Galaxian, this portable handheld version of the game is very faithful and easy to play. It was a little confusing at first in getting the game to start as once you have which game you want to play selected, you have to then press the “credit” button on the top to progress to the one or two player selection option. But from there it’s the same classic arcade games most folks know and love.The game screen is fairly large too and the shape of the device is very useful for keeping a good grip on it. Changing the batteries though may be a bit difficult as you have to undo two phillips head screws on the back panels to remove them and replace the two AA batteries in both compartments. There’s a plug for a recharge cable but that, plus the batteries, are not included.Overall, a quality little video game, perfect for travel or playing while relaxing on a given day.

I bought this because I wanted a simpler handheld game that had the exact retro games I was looking for. This definitely fills the bill because it has games like asteroids, centipede, missile command, breakout and millipede. The screen is definitely small at 2.75 inches but the gameplay is good and even great as far as Centipede is concerned. It’s worth the price for sure.

Nice Little Unit
I bought the Atari version of this handheld as I grew up playing an Atari 2600 and wanted a little nostalgia of those days. First off, the unit is very attractive looking and is nicely made. The controls all work fine and there is a good variety of fun games installed. I haven’t tried every game yet but the ones I have played are really fun to play. Certain games are a little challenging to play though since they may not have the appropriate controls for the game. For example, Crystal Castles is a game that used a track ball in the arcades. Using the d pad for this game makes it really hard to play. That is one my big gripe about this handheld. The lack of a trackball for games like Crystal Castle and Centipede and the lack of a paddle like controller for games like Breakout and Warlord. Playing Centipede and Missile Command is certainly doable with the d pad, but I had a really hard time controlling the paddle in Breakout with the d pad. I can understand the difficulty of putting a trackball on such a small unit, but I think they could have put some kind of small knob for a paddle control for games that used it, such as breakout. My only other minor gripe is the fact that it was not made to be rechargeable. You have to directly power it with a USB cable or use 4 AA batteries. All in all, it is a really nice unit that has a good variety of games and is really fun to play the memorable games installed on it.

READ INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE RETURNING! 😅
This console is awesome! I almost returned it thinking it didn’t work because I didn’t read the instructions. I decided to call the product support and they called me back immediately even though it was off hours!! The gentleman was very patient and explained that I needed to push the credit button at the top since it’s a copy of an arcade game. I was so embarrassed that I didn’t read the instructions but he didn’t seem to mind at all. Definitely worth it! I’ll buy from this seller again! Hands down!

Played this for about an hour before reviewing. Short version: I like it.Longer version: So I’ve been playing Tetris for about a year. I got into Tetris dx while going through a Gameboy color phase, and I ended up playing Tetris 9 times out of 10. I also had a steam deck- same thing, I almost always ended up just playing Tetris. I’m not that good, and I’m not super particular about the version I play. This is a custom version, but it’s an official one. You have ghost pieces, hard drop, and you can hold a piece. Those things are the most important to me as far as the gameplay itself. The sounds are cheap, but I like that. It works for me. It’s not a massive unit, but definitely bigger than the keychain version I’ve been playing on for about half a year at work. The weight feels good with batteries in it, and a headphone jack and USB power option are nice. This unit has Tetris, and Tetris only (which is exactly what I wanted personally) so just a heads up there. I recommend this to Tetris lovers, unless you’re the kind who is very particular about the version you play. Personally I love it and recommend it to those interested. Tetris forever!Also worth noting, I only paid $22 ish for this unit, on discount. If you can get it for around that price, that’s what I recommend. Seems more appropriate to me.

Much better than i expected!! Full colour screen with all the kicking, punching and crunching i enoyed on the SNES at youth club on fridays all those years back, a beautiful little game you can keep in your pocket, bag or whatever, has 2 versions of street fighter 2, use batteries or hook up a USB for fight- Old Skool Stylee
