Game changing video overlay and capture for our church online streaming and projection system.
We use this Input capture card for streaming our church services and it is truly fantastic. We occasionally have guest ministers that like to bring their own technology like an iPad or tablet and want to utilize the projectors for PowerPoint or Keynote presentations. This allows us to directly change the input from the computer to our wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver. It is powered by USB, and the video can be captured to the computer via USB, or directly with HDMI (which is our setup). The video capture is spot on, and very responsive, as is the audio capture. We also found a way to connect our system in a way that allows us to use picture in picture to project our song lyrics and bible verses in our online stream with it. It has been fully compatible with our system and allows quick one button touch changes to picture in picture mode while changing from screen to screen, placing the PiP and sizing with a quick touch of a button. We have ZERO complaints about this system. If you really think it through in terms of how you wire it up, you can do so much with this thing. It has been truly a game changer for us.

Nice unit; works well enough.
This unit doesn’t have a power button, so when connected to most computers (desktops), the buttons will stay lit even AFTER the computer is shut down. That’s because most USB ports remain powered as long as the computer is plugged into AC power. I’m giving this a 4-star review because as far as I can tell – and I searched – what you get, and what you get is what you’ll always have. That’s because, unlike its bigger brothers – i.e. the GoStream Deck, GoStream Duet, and GoStream ISO – the M2 is not update-ready. Osee’s software control does not work with the M2 and, at the moment, there’s no way to update the unit’s firmware. Will that change in the future? Only time will tell.

HDMI output is RGB 8 Bit Limited Range Only!
Very problematic HDMI output. Only supports RGB 8 Bit Limited Range on the HDMI output which is incompatible with lots of other video equipment, things like Atomos recorders, and even some monitors made by OSEE will simply just see a green washed image. Consumer displays & TV’s will often see the signal as crushed and over saturated because the output is not full range. One would hope this could be addressed with firmware, but this unit has zero updates available from OSEE and there appear to be a lot of other inexpensive “highly similar” designed units on the market here on Amazon. Additionally, when USB C output is enabled at 60FPS the HDMI output stutters/staggers resulting in un-smooth motion on the HDMI output. This thing doesn’t live up to expectations which is unfortunate as otherwise its nicely made and OSEE hits a great price point.

Oh say can you see?….a fantastic little 2 input switcher!!
I own a video production company so I make a living doing this. One of the services I offer is live streaming. And this Osee GoStrea M2, while not a substitute for an ATEM Mini Pro or Osee’s own GoStream Deck 2 (both of which I own) is a fantastic little piece of gear. For $129 (less than many other companies charge for a simple HDMI to thunderbolt capture card) you get a 2 input, 2 output switcher. You can switch between two sources in the ‘traditional’ full screen way. You can do a vertical or horizontal split screen. You can do a Picture in Picture in the upper left, upper right, lower left or lower right. You can change the size of your PIP or your vertical or horizontal split screen. You can swap sources on the fly so if you had a presenter full screen with his powerpoint in the PIP window and wanted to switch so the powerpoint was full screen you would just hit the ‘swap sources’ button. You can output via USB C to your computer (and the included USB C to USB C cord has an adapter, so if you remove it, it will work as a USB C to USB 3 (A) adapter.) There is also a second output which is an HDMI output. So you could also output to a iMAG screen in a conference room at the same time as to your computer for a livestream. And you get the afore mentioned USB C to USB 3(A) or USB C cable as well as an HDMI cable. And this little switcher just worked and was immediately recognized by every piece of software I tried it with, Wirecast, NewBlue Captivate, OBS, Zoom, etc. I’d highly recommend this for a Twitch game streamer or anyone doing live streaming. If you need a capture card anyways, you might as well get the bonuses that this little powerhouse offers!

It really could use a dissolve option, but other than that it’s a great little device that can have a lot of great use cases.
