Super amazing!!
This is a really good retro console. I gave it to my nephew, and he was thrilled, he looks like a kid playing. He says the built-in vibration system is great and makes the games feel more realistic. It has a very good screen resolution, and it’s perfect for carrying in your pocket, easy to take anywhere. He also says the battery lasts a long time, so it’s perfect to take wherever you go without worrying about charging. Excellent console, highly recommended!!

Great handheld system for a very fair price
I’ve seen systems like this for the last few years and honestly thought they were probably too good to be true for the price that you pay. I was so wrong. The build quality is quite good. The controls themselves feel excellent for the size of the device. The screen is bright and crisp with vibrant accurate colors. The battery life is sufficient, I can’t give you runtimes because they can vary quite a bit depending on the system you’re emulating, screen brightness, and wifi/bluetooth use. The included Anbernic firmware works well enough, but if you really want to see what this device has to offer, I would recommend checking out the 3rd party firmware Knulli. One thing that isn’t highlighted enough on the product page is the ability to plug this in to a tv (have to buy a cable) and bluetooth a few controllers to it to play multiplayer on a normal screen. My order came in a little over a week ago and I’ve probably already clocked over 20 hours of game time. I honestly wasn’t expecting to love this device so much and had intended to mostly use it on road trips and in waiting rooms. If you’re looking for a great handheld retro gaming experience that won’t break the bank, then look no further. I have to warn you though…now that I’ve purchased this one I’ve found myself scoping out other Anbernic devices. I’m debating on purchasing one of the vertical GameBoy style models to go with it.

This is very nostalgic! I love it!!
This was an excellent gift for my son, I have given it to him because of the nostalgia it gave me to know that he can play the same games as me when I was a child. This device is really amazing, it brings emulators from many retro consoles and they work wonderfully, it brings its own micro sd card with all the games included. My favorite has been the PlayStation one since it was my first video game. It has an excellent resolution and the device in general feels of very good quality, the battery lasts the approximately 8 hours it promises. The truth is that I couldn’t be happier with this video game, I have shared quality time with my son thanks to this and he also loved his gift.

Nostalgic fun
Nostalgic fun, like that it comes with a large selection of games from my childhood. Small but comfortable to hold, like the clever design for the shoulder buttons. The Linux OS works well, easy to navigate and like the flexibility of letting you choose between Retroarch or other emulators. Just wish it were a little more powerful, noticed some lag with Dreamcast and PSP. And while the small size is nice for portability, console games were designed for TVs, so some were harder to read on a screen this small

Awful Console, Save Your Money
Don’t believe the hype. Anbernic’s RG35XX H console is awful. Doesn’t come pre-loaded with any Game Boy, Game Boy Color or Game Boy Advance games (they show up on the SD card but do not appear anywhere on the console itself because a place was not created for them). A lot of Sega Game Gear games were incorrectly loaded into the Sega Mega Drive folder. PS1 games were incorrectly loaded into the N64 folder. User interface looks terrible. I could go on but you get the idea by now. Save your money and look elsewhere for a quality retro gaming console.

Solid handheld emulator console
Is it perfect? No, but it’s a solid price for a little emulator handheld that can do PS1 games. Mine had the audio go out but that seems to be a common software issue. But for the price, and it running Linux, I’m okay dealing with some software pains. I’ve tried out a few 3d PS1 games on it and they ran pretty smoothly. I also tried out a 3d N64 game on it but boy that did not run smoothly (I didn’t expect it to, it’s not officially supported, and N64 is notoriously hard to emulate), so if you’re getting this with the hopes of setting that up on an emulator custom on this unit, yeah it won’t work well. I 3d printed handles for it that snap on to make it more ergonomic, and flip around to snap over the screen and joysticks to protect them in transit. It’s smaller than a switch and great for travel.

Great for most things & fairly intuitive
I’m upgrading from the rg350p, I believe, so it’s more compatible with other systems but it’s really slow to load games, start up, and it even takes a bit to QUIT games which isn’t great for trying different roms (usually you have to try a few before you find a good one). So it pays to know what you want to play, or you’ll be slightly annoyed at how long everything takes. I’m not too interested in diagnosing software/hardware problems, just for background. I think the key to enjoying these things is 1) willingness/ability to do minor computer stuff and also learn more about the device to get the games to work better, they don’t all work well, and 2) not counting on one game, it helps to have a wide range of interests, as not every rom is going to work and a lot require some fiddling. The screen is bright, but seems a little small. Also I don’t know why the options need to be so difficult, it defaults to some cryptic turbo setting that requires a tutorial, with no apparent simple way to turn the turbo OFF. This annoyance wasn’t in the older version I had either. So in ways they’re going forward while going backward, but if you like solving problems, this is a great device for you.

Great Travel System
I’ve tried out multiple of these retro handhelds and this one holds up the best out of them. Battery life seems to last 4+ hours on most titles and there is a widespread library of games. I really enjoy the form factor of the system too because you can carry it around and put it in your pocket without too much headache. Brightness is very decent and games run smooth.

Nice little device. I installed custom firmware (Knulli) and loaded it up with playstation games and other games. Been playing Final Fantasy 7 on it. Good times.Remember to buy a pair of good microsd cards to replace the one it comes with.I also recommend setting the SaveRAM Autosave Interval to write your saved games to file periodically if you’re used to oldschool emulators. I chose 300 seconds to avoid too many write cycles on the microSD card.

I say donot simply donot buy this from amazon. They partner with third party sellers which import from Arnbernic china and 6/10 products wont work in first go. you will have the hassle of returning replacing such a hectic experience. Bought mine got it replaced twice and third time got refund.
