A software engineer’s dream monitor
As a software engineer I love having a single large display. It has to have very high resolution, brightness, and ideally a decent refresh rate. I prefer a single display over two monitors because I don’t like moving my neck so much throughout the day. For the same reason I’m not a fan of ultra-wides.Until now I’ve been using the Gigabyte M32UC – an absolutely fantastic 32″ monitor that checks all the boxes above. The only thing I wanted beyond what the Gigabyte offers is a bit more surface area.Over the past few years I’ve tried a few other options, but none of them did it all: some were too dark, some had bad refresh rate, some were too wide. When I saw that Samsung had recently released this one I bought it immediately. It checks all boxes. The curve is more aggressive than my Gigabyte and I love it. Brightness and refresh rate are great and the resolution is top notch. This is the best monitor I’ve ever owned and I suspect it will be a long time until one is good enough to replace it. I wouldn’t hesitate for a minute to recommend it.

Great for work and play!
I got this monitor for a couple reasons. One I work from home and have vestibular issues. I read that sometimes curved screens can help with vestibular issues and it helped me. I have been working on this monitor for a couple weeks now and have seen a decrease in how dizzy or off balance I feel. Been very helpful in that sense.I also got it for gaming will say Xbox, PS5, or PC the graphics are crystal clear. The curved screen does actually allow you to see more going on around you and the FPS is stable.I would recommend this monitor.

Very satisfied!
Great monitor for the price and the 37″ hits the sweet spot on size especially with the curved design. Only complaint is the microscopic button inconveniently placed to make adjustments. That seems to be the industry standard though, I’d pay an extra $10 or so for a simple remote control.

Simply great
Gaming monitors are the best. No smart features! Nice menus and cable options. Perfect size and curved is essential on a monitor this size.

No built in speakers.
Wonderful picture. NO BUILT-IN SPEAKERS. Description per ‘Rufus’ is not accurate.

Great decision!
Excellent picture quality for gaming. Sharp text for productivity. I never thought I liked curved monitors and thought I would give this a try because of the other reviews and it really is amazing how much a difference it makes in terms of being immersed in what you’re playing fand for transitioning from one program to another for productivity purposes. Never going back to flat screen!

It’s big and bright
This monitor is big and bright. I like it very much. If you transition from an ultra wide screen, it can make the UI much bigger than expected. This monitor and resolution is reaching the limit of what I can keep in my vision without too much head turning.

I don’t understand what Samsung was thinking with this monitor
I got tired of the 49″ Ultrawide scene so decided to get the 43″ Samsung Odyssey G7 and it was almost perfect. It had too much ghosting and it wasn’t curved, but it had a remote, built-in speakers, and the built in OS was media-focused which was nice. Not the best UX, but it was usable with the remote.I ultimately decided that it wasn’t for me due to it not being a great desktop monitor due to it being flat, which led me to buy two of these. I foolishly figured that since they were both Odyssey G7 monitors that they would be similar in feature set and functionality. The size, pixel pitch, and curvature of these monitors is great and having them side by side feels like a major upgrade from my 49″ while giving me the ability to use my PC on one and throw my console on the other one.Now to the bad: The feature set is abysmal. It feels like it was designed for the bargain bin. There are no built-in speakers, despite the Rufus description stating there were. There is a headphone jack on the back which is a strange and useless feature for a gaming monitor with no speakers. There is no operating system and no remote. You get a single 5 way button underneath the center of the monitor like this is a bargain bin Costco special. The ports on the back scream 2010. You get two USB Type A ports and a single upstream port, so no USB-C and no KVM functionality. All in all, I am going to end up keeping them because I don’t think there is a better panel at this size and aspect ratio that exists yet. As long as your fine with the bare bones options monitors from 15 years ago had, you’ll be happy.
