Clear Video, Reliable Night Vision, and Easy UniFi Integration
I installed the UniFi G5 Ultra camera about a month ago to monitor the side of my house, and I’ve been really impressed with it. The video quality is excellent — the 2K resolution makes it easy to see small details, like license plates or faces, even at a distance. The wide field of view covers the entire driveway without leaving any blind spots.Night vision is where I noticed the biggest improvement compared to my older camera. The IR range easily covers 30–40 feet, and the image stays clear even in complete darkness. I feel a lot more confident about security at night now.The build quality is solid. The turret version I bought feels rugged and has handled rain and wind without any issues. I also like that it runs on PoE, which meant I only had to run a single cable. Integration with UniFi Protect was seamless — the camera showed up right away, and the app makes it easy to adjust settings like motion zones and notifications.A couple of things to be aware of: the lens is fixed, so you don’t get optical zoom, and you’ll want to get the angle right when mounting. Also, if you’re not already using UniFi gear, you’ll need their software or an NVR to really get the most out of it.Overall: This camera has been a great addition to my security setup. Between the video quality, strong night vision, and easy integration, I feel like it hits the sweet spot of performance and reliability. If you already use UniFi, it’s a no-brainer.

Performs exactly as expected
Performs exactly as expected, this is our third purchase of this camera. VERY EASY SETUP with Unifi Protect APP. The finish is a flat black, replacing our original non-PoE units which had a deep bronze tone. While the previous color blended in more seamlessly, this upgrade offers noticeably better quality, making the trade-off worthwhile.

Love the G5 Turret
Shipping was quick and got my cameras in a just a few days. Arrived in Excellent, brand new condition. Easy to adopt to my unifi environment and got them up and running in minutes. Excellent video quality, especially compared to the G3 Flex cameras they replaced.

These cameras are perfect. I now own 3, and the black looks really good. They are super simple to install, the only downside is the large hole that you have to drill to fit the waterproof connector in. If you’re installing on brick it’s probably best to get the junction box as well to stuff that in to so you don’t need to drill a big hole. The video quality is great and these are extremely reliable. Powered by PoE is super convenient. It just works.

Great camera, only thing is you need extra equipment for it’s function but if you have the ecosystem which I have it’s a fantastic addition to a secure home network or work environment. The key here is secure safer way for home camera system

Excellent upgrade to my old G3 Bullet, wider FOV, higher resolution, much more realistic colour, better night vision, simple and sturdy mounting. very low POE power requirements (currently drawing 1.97watts) too so an easy load on your switches.Very easy setup if you are already using Unifi and want to stick with their own cameras.
