Can I implement Extended Mode on my Apple laptop?

Mac notebooks do not support Multi-Stream Transport (MST). Displays connected via HDMI/DP/VGA (if these video ports are available) will mirror the display to show the same image

After connecting the docking station, there is no signal from the external monitor, how to solve it?

Ensure your laptop’s USB-C port supports video output. Ensure that the HDMI or DisplayPort cable is working properly, check that the device’s display settings detect an external monitor, and adjust the display mode (e.g., Copy or Extended)

Does this usb c docking station compatible with my laptop?

please check if your laptop’s Thunderbolt 3/4 or USB-C port supports charging and video output, and if it does, you can use our Docking Station

Just a bit warmer thank expected.
It works well, however it gets quite warm, warmer than expected(especially with a charger attached to it). I think I’d need to attach a heat sync to it. Don’t hold back from buying it though. It works as advertised.

Great dock (not tested the display ports yet)
This dock works great with the MacBook Pro M4 pro on macOS 15.4.1, I was scared when I realize that the Ethernet chip in the dock it’s a Realtek one because compatibility issues but this chip works great with the Apple M devices

Good docking hub with solid features
As far as a docking hub, this works fine. No weird pops or unexpected glitches, etc. I let it run for a few hours once connected to a smartphone with videos queued up, among other things. It’s fairly plug and play and has no problem keeping up with the various ports, so long as a decent input is supplied to the Power Delivery (PD) interface. This can make it easy to use with computers for extending or mirroring displays. I feel this is best as a docking hub to increase display capacity and other functionality to a computer, similar to what it says on the product package. It would be nice if it had at least one USB-C output, but inexpensive adapters and hubs are available if need be. I noticed my smartphone barely charged when used with this. The PD port is highly recommended to make use of, as otherwise it can drain a decent phone’s battery fairly quickly, depending on how many outputs are used.I was hoping for something easier to use with phones and other devices. The main reason I mention that is the lack of USB-C ports, which I noticed after testing it. This does work with the devices I’ve tried, many needing PD input to function. The audio/video quality reproduction is good with both the graphics ports I’ve tried, mainly HDMI with the 3.5mm audio output. The DisplayPort aligned perfectly with a high-resolution monitor and did look better, but, of course, that is video-only. This device does allow pass-through for audio via any of the four (4) USB-A ports if one wishes to avoid the 3.5 stereo jack. I noticed with the subtraction or addition of an (often video) device, and depending on the program, the Samsung DEX pauses. KVM switches can not only add to the hassle of that but also make cable management an ongoing task until everything is “just right.” I was hoping for a plug-and-play on-the-go device to use with smartphones to watch podcasts (or even just listen to them). It works for that, but there are other devices that may be able to handle that in a smaller package. It’s a good device for what it does. With computers, I sometimes needed a separate USB connection (separate hub) for it to function properly in most situations. That means either a decent USB power block or possibly an add-on computer card for that. There are ways around that, but not easily and without additional cable complexity. The USB 3.0 card reader works as it should and is quite responsive with this device.I may have over-tested this device, which may show in this review. This does do a nice job with colors, better than some onboard computer graphics cards. It obviously provides a larger screen than a smartphone. The graphics look good and haven’t caused issues yet. It can also add additional features like gigabit Ethernet and everything else mentioned via a single USB-C slot (and a proper PD connection). I did end up using an additional USB bar for its USB-C ports, but that also disabled some of the features of the additional bar. That worked fine for a basic mouse and keyboard while freeing up ports on this device. One other caveat: the main supply cord is not detachable. I would have preferred a detachable cord. Just a thought. I can still think of a few computers (and other devices) that could make use of this.

    Unfortunate unreliable
It started emitting a very loud and high pitched whine or scream noise after using it for a few days. The noise is loud enough that I’ve stopped using the device and don’t trust it with my equipment.I’m sad that it turned out this way because the functionality is otherwise excellent. I was using the device successfully with a MacBook Pro, connecting a 144hz 4k display connected to one of the DisplayPort outputs, along with a wired mouse, keyboard, and webcam, and power all successfully passed through the dongle. That screaming noise is awful though and makes me think the device isn’t very safe or reliable.

USB Dock with multiple Display options
I thought for sure this was not going to work out when I got it but sure enough, it has.I appreciate the multiple options for display, 2x HDMI, 1 DP. Beyond that we’ve got network, a card reader, few USB ports and a headphone jack. All haven’t given me issues, but I have not tested the audio jack. It’s lightweight and slim, something to keep in your bag in case you need it.

Highly functional USB C docking station with all the right features with some limitations
This is an functional basic docking station for a modern PC (Windows or Mac)..First and foremost, the unit can drive up to three external 4K monitors at 60Hz. I only have one external monitor (so I have not tested a multiple external monitor situation), but I had no problem with a Surface Pro 7+ or an M2 Max MacBook Pro driving my Dell 4K monitor (using HDMI 2.0).I like that the hub supports Power Delivery and can confirm that my external 100W PD adapter was able to supply power to my Mac and Surface Pro.Wired ethernet is important to me, so the gigabit ethernet port is a must when I’m connected at my workstation. The only areas where this hub fell short for me were the following.1) There are no USB C ports. This is less of an issue with my MacBook Pro since it has multiple USB C ports. But on my Surface Pro, I only have one USB C port. When this hub is plugged in, I can’t use another USB C peripheral without an adapter.2) The USB 3.0 ports are USB 3.0, not 3.1 or 3.2. It would have been more convenient to have options for faster file transfer speeds. However, USB 3.0 (5 Gpbs) is plenty fast for most home/small office needs.3) All the USB A ports (two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0) are on one side of the device. I like hubs with USB ports on both sides of the device. Therefore, I can plug in more static peripherals in the rear ports (e.g. a webcam or keyboard dongle) and leave the forward facing ports for things I plug in occasionally, like an external flash drive or camera.Frankly, I feel this item is priced a little high for what you get. There are cheaper options with similar features or options in a similar price range with more functionality.

Unreliable USB-C Dock: Fails to Auto-Detect 2nd Monitor, Overheats, Slows Laptop
Consistently fails to detect the second monitor—requires unplugging/replugging every time. Heats up fast, cuts charging speed in half, and causes laptop lag. Solid port selection and build, but core flaws kill productivity.

I got this Minthouz 12 in 1 docking station for use with both Mac and Windows devices.First impressions of the device were very good. The construction being of aluminium alloy stands out instantly as being superior to the cheaper, plasticky type of dock. The other factors that really attracted me to this particular model were the availability of dual HDMI ports and also the inclusion of a Gigabit Ethernet port. These are features that are rarely available at the cheaper end of the market.I’m personally a Windows user, whilst other family members lean towards the Mac side. In both cases, use of the dock has been a breeze and without hiccup. Unfortunately my laptop is unable to take advantage of USB C power, however a MacBook Pro at home is and this also works well.It is a wonderful little dock that ticks many boxes in terms of connectivity requirements and functions very well indeed. Recommended.

Basically a thunderbolt 4 dock at a fraction of the price. Works great with my G9 Odyssey! MacOS and Windows both output @165Hz 3440×1440 and the one cable setup is simply amazing 🙌
