This was money well spent!
I could not be more pleased! The speaker is absolutely top notch! Understandably, the two speakers in the enclosure are small; but, the sound quality is very good. The selector switch on the back works very well to get either more bass or treble. The speaker can be very loud if the volume is turned up. The hookup was very simple! I have a smart tv and I have severalother pieces of equipment which are all connected using the optics. I have a four way splitter plugged into My tvs single optics port. All of My other equipment is plugged into this powered splitter. I had one extra optic port on the splitter which I used for this speaker. A very quick optics plug-in and the power cable to the wall outlet. The power cable is a USB plug with the small transformer, 5 volts. One on/off knob with the switch and volume control. The speaker was immediately in nice operation. I had no use for a long distance; but, I tested the speaker anyway. I found the range to be about 150 feet even through several walls of steel reinforced concrete. In the open the speaker might even reach out several more 100 feet. It is advertised to be 100. It easily does that distance! I do not believe there would be any problem moving the speaker about anywhere in a standard house. The package came with I believe every conceoveable cablehookup which might be needed. As I have mentioned, I used the optics cable. I do not believe You would be disapointed buying this speaker.

Helps reduce loud TV noise – restores the peace
Bought one for my Dad when he began losing his hearing. Worked so well, I bought one for my upstairs neighbor, too!Purchase #1: When we watched TV together at my parents’ house, my Dad kept missing words (“what did he/she just say?” over and over), and playing the TV so loud that the rest of the family could not be in the room with him. Plus, I could not get to sleep in my room down the hall, even if I used earplugs. He refused to wear hearing aid or head phones (and wouldn’t be able to hear us, kinda defeating the purpose of watching TV together).After searching for a solution, I found Sereonic – set up super easy and quick. Put the speaker next to his favorite chair. Now he can hear everything in the dialogue without us having to repeat it all. TV volume is now low enough that our family can have conversations with the TV on, AND I can go to bed and get to sleep when I visit.Purchase #2: In my apartment, my upstairs neighbor (80+ yrs old), has lost her hearing. I hear her TV OVER my own TV, even if I wear earplugs, headphones or play music. I can’t keep asking her to turn it down every night. She also refuses to get hearing aid or wear head phones. I suggested Closed Captioning, but she can’t read the words fast enough to keep up. So I finally asked if she’d be willing to try the Sereonic, explaining how well it works at my parents’ house for my Dad. She agreed!! Now it is much, much better. It arrived quickly, too, which I appreciated. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Perfect answer for people with difficulty hearing
Bought this for my husband who was turning the sound up loud enough for our neighbors to hear. The unit comes with a charge cord, optical cord and RCA & 3.5 mm cables. The bottom serves as the charge cradle. You’ll need an optical splitter if you have something hooked to your optical port currently. Easy to hookup, portable, clear audible sound, brings voices forward and music seems to be somewhat lower so voices are more easily understood, great battery life, good volume range, and my husband can turn down the volume and that makes our neighbors happy. There is not a control to adjust bass or tenor but there is a hi-med-lo tone adjustment on the back. It has a battery life indicator on the front. He can carry this into another room so he doesn’t miss a word on his program also. If you’re having difficulty understanding what’s being said through your speakers, this is a wonderful alternative. I love it. Highly recommend.

Here is what I liked about the product:Easy hook up to TVProduct already pairedGreat range while maintaining great sound outputUseful for those that are hard of hearingHere are my concerns:The product did not come with a optical cable as advertised. This was the cord I needed for the setup as the others would not work with MIL TV.The product packaging arrived unsealed (not the amazon packing, the actual product itself). The speaker was a bit dirty and spotted. We had to clean the surface and the volume control as it had grit in it. Along with the missing cord, we got the impression that the product received was used vs new. We ordered new so this was not a good 1st impression. While it works great so far, I wonder if there is some issue with it that will surprise us in the near future.Hope this helps.

Best wireless speaker for TV I’ve Found
Extremely lightweight you’d think this has got to have a tinny sound without much bass but you’d be wrong. Sound is better than your TV speaker and the range is 30 feet or so from your television. The speaker and base already have already been paired at the factory just plug it using one of several ports (I used the optical port). Took about 3 hours to fully charge out of the box but now I use it 4 or 5 hours a night and it never runs low. And the volume is great – I usually sit it about 3-5 feet from me on a coffee table and it’s terrific.

Really works great. My husband is bed bound at present and his bed is in the dining room. He can watch TV. In the living room through the by folding doors and he can hear the TV through the speaker.

as an old guy i was worried about ordering because i didn’t know how complicated it would be to hook up– well turned out VERY easy—we have satellite disc & bow just hooked into that presto—i’m quite deaf and this thing is worth it’s weigh in gold—just put it by my chair turn her on and everyone is happy–no more tv roaring!!!–great item !!!
