Got this to expand my 2.5 gb network to my office. Initially, I was getting some disconnects on my 1 gb PC while it was connected to a 2.5 gb port, but that was fixed weeks ago by moving the PC cable to a 1 GB port. Zero issues since then. Nice and fast with very low latency.

I like D-Link switches because they’re a great bang for the buck and are just plug n play. and I upgraded my internet plan to 2Gbps in the last few months. So I can finally take advantage of it w the 2x 2.5Gbps ports. If you’re like me and only need 2.5Gbps to your PC. then get this and save some money.

Great switch for the money that actually works.
I wasn’t expecting to get much of a speed increase for my internet speed with this switch. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Using the two dedicated 2.5 GHZ ports I gained almost 850 MPS extra throughput! It has been very reliable and no issues so far.

2.5G ports stopped working after 2 months
I bought this specifically for the 2.5G ports and both stopped working just under 2 month after I started using it. I reached out to D Link and they will replace it, but I need to pay to ship this one out for a refurbished unit. Won’t be buying from D Link again.

I wanted to take full advantage of our 1.5 gigabit Fiber Internet service (Bell Gigahub modem) without having to run more wires to the modem. This is the first switch connected to the modem and it properly negotiates at 2.5G connected to the 10G port. All the other switches and Wi-Fi access points are linked to this switch and it made the installation cleaner and not limited to 1G by the previous gigabit switch. It’s been working perfectly.
